It's time to accept that we have a moronic owner that simply hasn't learned from past mistakes, and frequently makes irrational decisions. 

The move to get rid of him is whatever. He's a useless player (for us) and an endless distraction, so it's nice to save a little money at least...wouldn't be surprised if he hits us hard in Arlington though.

The Angels do not need CJ Wilson at all. God that contract is a disaster. Tropeano can do his job for literally a fraction of the price

Iannetta will turn it around offensively. But this team desperately needs a better defensive catcher that can also hold his own at the plate (they've needed that for about 10 straight years now). It's time to draft a catcher in the 1st or 2nd round

Moral victories are all this team can ever accomplish in April.

They do need to add position player talent around these two guys. I don't know how anyone can say they don't.  Pujols is old and basically gets worse every year from here on out. Aybar is solid but on the wrong side of 30 now. Iannetta is a decent bat but average as an all around catcher. Left field position is a mess in which they have 30 million a season tied up in a guy who can't get on the field. DH is whatever. Could be better but not worth crying about. Freese is an average player that will need to be upgraded on as he is also pretty damn old and nonathletic at 3rd.  2B right now is being filled by utility players that have never hit much in their careers. Again...going to need a solution there at some point.

So yes, they do need to start drafting and developing position players at a far more successful rate than they have been the last 4 years. Especially infielders. The lack of talent to come through the system on the infield since Morales, Kotchman, Wood, Aybar, and Kendrick were all coming up together is alarming and almost embarrassing.

Everything I've heard about Katie Hamilton suggests she is not a good person at all.

Johnson has gotten on base at every level so far. That's really encouraging even if he's a bit old.

As for Newcomb, I'm really excited. I think he's got big upside, and from everything I've seen/read, he's got that bulldog mentality like a Madison Bumgarner. Could be a horse for us in the near future

OCR has improved when it comes to Angels coverage. The Anaheim ducks coverage on that website is a joke most of the time but that's a conversation that I should probably take to the hockey sub forum

Pujols' approach has looked like trash as usual. Cron and Joyce are a mess who both need to be replaced by the trade deadline. Angels need a speedy left fielder who can get on base...not sure who's out there

Like others have said: Scisocia is a company man who will play his veterans no matter what. He even did it with Hamilton in the playoffs last year. No one ever gets punished for stupid play, and these guys all lollygag around in Tempe for a month every year. And what do the fans get? Another 6-14 start and quotes about "tipping the cap" and "we need more continuity in our lineup". Buzzwords that say absolutely nothing
