  1. Y'all need to quit posting positive things in this thread ... IT IS A RANT THREAD...
  2. Who would of thought the back of the starting rotation would be better then the 1 and 2 starters in week 1?
  3. Now if we an get Pujols , Freese and Ibanez on board we can do something. No doubt in my mind our offense will have to carry this team on many nights. At least last night wasn't one of them Richards looked good for the most part.
  4. Great OP ... Funny and witty ...loved it...
  5. I'm also very concerned about our pitching for this season.
  6. Worked for me. And I'm not even really into Basketball.
  7. Glad we didn't sign Santana and lose the draft pick. I know we need pitching but the Angels have stuck to their guns about not losing a first round pick . Might as well see it through at this point.
  8. Agree Richards looked good. Would of liked to seen a better lineup.
  9. Great now Blanton will be paying LF on the days he is not pitching....lol
  10. One of the greatest feats I saw was Randy Johnson vapouring a dove in front of home plate. My Dad took me to Veterans Stadium to watch Mays play a game against the Phillies... And so many more stars and feats since then....
  11. Bonds streak of Homeruns was impressive. Roids or no roids that is a hell of a lot of Homeruns. Yes there are many great records and I don't knock them if they were using roids or not. In all honesty there is no telling who used and who did not. It became a witch hunt once they decided it was time to crack down on it. In all hoesnty in todays game Maris's 61 in one season might of got him accused of roid use seeing he only did it once. Ruth could of been juiced on beer and roids. I don't approve of it but it seems to me a few of the many that were probably using got pointed out. and that in it's self is an injustice . Bonds was a jerk as a player but history is often kinder when feats like that are left behind.
  12. If he does make it back and helps the Angels to the playoffs. I want the film rights and Kevin Costner signed to the lead role.
  13. I don't see it no depth in the pitching staff and it will bite us big time at some point.
  14. We should sign the guy offer him 7 mil with a option for next year on incentives of 190 innings. The article says he has not even received a offer so he may bite. Heck I might be willing to go 14 mil over two years with a incentive of 190 innings per year to kick in a third year. With baker signing a minor league contract maybe it will help push Arroyo to sign, If the guy can give us 200 plus innings and a 4.00 era or less that would be a plus for our staff. Plus he could help Weaver mentor the young arms we have in Richard's , Skagg's and Santiago and anyone else coming up out of the minors. He don't require draft pick compensation so that is another huge plus. Yeah he is old but several pitchers that knew how to take care of themselves pitched till they were 40. At worst he could start for us this year and be a long reliever next year or year 3. As long as he has been around I am sure he could help the younger guys. But what scares me is that I honestly think JD is set to go into the season with the staff as it is.
