Damn, that was tough to read.
Not tech savvy enough to post the clip and too lazy to find the quote.

When the umps give strikes to ohtani 3 inches off ther plate it is impossible to hit him.

46 pitches through 4 and 34 have been strikes.
Efficient Ohtani is good Ohtani.
Maddon probably the thing from the water boy where he tells the team they they all need to win together then tells ohtani quietly that he’s the only one that’s any good and he has to win by himself.
-
Good thing devers decided that running was beneath him.
-
Lot of empty seats for an ohtani game.
-
Made Martinez look horrible.
-
See how easy this game is. Give a 3-1 lead to ohtani. Game over.

Lots of the guys on here are friends offline. You want to talk shit about people making friends?
You like to argue don’t you. Some people like to meet people they interact with on boards, some don’t. He doesn’t. Why is that talking shit about making friends.

Another fucking example of the NY umps not understanding their fucking jobs. It’s frustrating as shit.
8 minutes ago, cals said:You never played this game, did you? You’re taught not to reach back even if you missed the tag unless you know for sure you can get it. It was the reach back that caused the safe call in the first place, more than likely.
13 minutes ago, cals said:Don’t be a jackass. They have a job. It’s to determine if there is enough visual evidence to overturn the call on the field based on clear and convincing evidence. I’m watching the game on a 15 foot screen and I don’t know if he was tagged. He may have avoided it. The catcher reached back again which is a huge sign he didn’t feel a tag. The point is that they tend to apply a “what would I have called had I been there” standard. That isn’t the rule. The call should have been upheld. Had he been called out on the play then it also should have been upheld.
That’s you crying. The angels announcers thought they’d overturn it, I thought he got tagged, and most importantly New York thought he was tagged. Win some lose some. Move on.

Good. Cover your ears and go la la la la when you don’t like what you hear. Have fun with the other Sisters.
Actually you were the one crying that the call went against the angels.

I guess I’m not sure what you think their job is if not to get the calls right?

Setting up for ohtani to tie the game.

Did America observe Ohtani's birthday as a national holiday today?
The observation of it was yesterday. My community had fireworks for him.

Ohtani, and Fletcher's hitting streak.
That's it.

Is never been a “baseball IQ” believer but there are some dumb players that it’s no wonder they’ll end up living in the minors. Watching the Cubs Phillies. The Cubs pitcher comes in with bases loaded, walks a run in on 4 straight pitches. Next guy swings at first pitch that bounces in and ends up striking out in 5 pitches, none of which the catcher actually caught (they all bounced). That guy is hitting .180something.

I agree with Maddon. Give the kid that pitch.
Not a strike but when the ump calls strikes 4 inches outside tough not to get that one.
-
That was easy. Here comes ohtani.
-
I do chuckle when people around here complain that the angels are always getting screwed over by the umpires. They all suck and all teams suffer the same. Angels gotten some very generous calls so far.
-
Favorable pitching matchup. 2/3 coming right up.
