    The initial contract to Pujols that he and his wife found so insulting was 5 years long. Looks like that assessment of his long term viability was spot on. He could have played out his 5 years, maybe add a bonus year for milestones then ride off into the HOF sunset. The only thing worse than a professional athlete hanging on too long, is one that hangs on too long for 4-5 years, people forget their greatness and just want them to get the hell out...

    Anyone know where he ranked on at bats with RISP. Efore trout went down. I felt like he was ALWAYS hitting with risp. Anytime he got lucky with a hit he got RBI.

    Perspective is fun. Knowing this offense shouldn't it read.. "Our pitching sure sucks, Trout would have 8 HR in this series." Not wanting to admit the pitching stinks suddenly makes the opponents offense really good.

    To say the Angels would be better off with the guys on the DL is just as flawed of logic as saying they are better off without Trout. The guys filling in have been better than could be expected. for the most part the starters are keeping the Angels in games and the bullpen is better than I think anyone expected. The guys that are injured may actually have performed worse than the current roster.
