    For what it's worth, ESPN is showing Jerome starting against Boston Sunday, so maybe there's still hope.

    First, props to Blanton. He pitched a heck of a game. Second, it was the worst possible outcome. Blanton pitched well enough to give Scioscia the cover to drop Williams from the rotation; we still lost; and I have no doubt Blanton reverts to throwing BP in his future starts. :sigh:
