  1. If I know the A's, they'll trade off Zobrist and Kazmir and somehow end up performing better because they're the freakin' A's.

Just a guess, but I think the Astros are so hot right now the only place left to go is down. They are playing way over their collective heads. But I also think they'll acquire help at the deadline. But all in all, I think they're a .500 team from here on out, and finish around 87 wins.

The Rangers had their little hit streak and now we'll see them return to form, and probably finish the year with 75 wins.

The M's will pitch their ways into a WC conversation for a little bit before settling in right around 80 wins.

The A's will end up in the same area, 80 wins.

The Angels won't trade for the bat they need because it's f'n Bill Stoneman and it'll piss everyone off to no end. They'll continue to pitch amazingly and the hitting will improve just enough to be Quinlan-esque, instead of Mathis-like. Because of their unwillingness to trade the stupid amount of pitching prospects they have, we 'll see the Angels end up around 87 wins, instead of the 90+ they'd be capable of if they went out and landed Adam Lind and Ben Revere/Andre Ethier like they should've done.

But the good news is they'll bring Howie Kendrick back in free agency this next year, so that'll be a fun little storyline.

The Rangers will finish with a better record than the Mariners. Book it.

  2. Lol! That has to be one of the worst lists I've ever seen. Cherington, Colletti, Cashman, Daniels and Wren in the top 10, while guys like Huntington, Luhnow and Hoyer aren't? What a joke

That was from May of 2104. Still, why the **** would Luhnow and Hoyer be included in the top 10? It must be tough to tank for a decade and hoard first-round picks.

  3. Dude..  Get a grip.   "Basically" the Rangers are smoke and mirrors and not much else.

People have been talking up the Rangers offense -- but their team OPS+ is 96, the Angels is 95.  Look at wRC+ and the Angels are ahead, 95 to 92 -- you can thank a hot May and unsustainable Babip that month for your runs scored being where they are.   They have had three SPs outperforming their periphs all year long and have no bullpen to speak of beyond Tolleson and maybe Kela who has been getting lit up left and right every time I tune into a Ranger game the last couple of weeks..    At least the defense got fixed.  Also ... what's the Rangers record .vs the AL West again?

You should definitely be happy Holland and Harrison may come back -- ditto Perez, but two of those guys haven't pitched significant innings since 2012... the third has started all of 28 games in his career --  they are talented question marks.

To date your "good" season has been equal to the Angels "bad" season.  Ranger fans have nothing to crow about.

Dude is a troll. I'm pleased that the Rangers are .500 with 15 players on the DL but I don't expect them to make the playoffs. Also, their record against .500 teams is quite good while they've struggled against teams like the Mariners and White Sox. That defense that you keep mentioning is responsible for quite a few of their losses.

  4. Are you seriously contending the nine members of the Supreme Court should make law that affects 300,000,000+? Why even pass laws...why not just let judges make all of the important decisions? And for that matter, why have juries?

Serious question: where would you draw the line as to what judges, rather than legislators, should decide?

The Constitution was devised to prevent tyranny of the majority. The Supreme Court is there to enforce those measures. These issues should never be put to a referendum.
