  1. Watching a scene from the trailer showing the Indian kid wearing a SCum hat is reason enough for me to never watch this heaping pile of trOJan propaganda.
  2. That was a smart move. Without looking into statistics, it seemed to me that Santiago became less effective after 4 innings (or anywhere above 50-60 pitches). Whether he tired, hitters adjusted to him, or a combination of both keeping him in the bullpen for the remainder of the season is a wise move. See if he can build endurance and give him another shot next season.
  3. I saluted Jeter by dropping a piping hot deuce. He's the most overhyped SS ever.
  4. Juanita may have had frosty tips on his hair and killed Morales's career with his fat foot covering home plate when Kendrys jumped and landed on it, but he had a strong arm in the OF.
  5. Amen. I picked up Joe Smith 3 weeks ago (correctly) anticipating that Frieri would blow a number of saves resulting in him losing the closer role.
  6. if that could only be Butcher in front of the firing squad.
  7. And Scioscia deserves equal blame for keeping the absolute worst pitching coach in baseball on his staff for so long. There is absolutely no other team that would allow Butcher to join their team at his current coaching title. (e.g. see Mickey Hatcher)
  8. The pitching coach has been the one non-variable during that timeline you presented from 2008-2014. It's absolutely maddening how he has been able to retain his job with subpar results year after year. Talent be d@mned. He can't even groom one pitcher from our minor leagues into a consistent quality reliever.
  9. It's a fiscally smart decision dumping $5 million per year in order to improve a $125+ million annual payroll.
  10. If you fire Tommy Lasagna Jr. that kills two birds with one stone because no competent incoming manager will keep the absolute worst pitching coach in Mike Butcher.
  11. Any chance Butcher will be canned before end of April? His presence can turn any anemic offense into the 1927 Yankees. Just like Hatcher no manager or ball club will ever allow him to be their pitching coach.
  12. Freese is swinging the bat like Shea Hillenbrand. And he'll be put to pasture before this season is over. The Angels seem to be the only team where newly acquired players perform worse. Yet the one constant has been the coaching. Hmmmmmmm
  13. Kendrick with 1-2 count. Throw him one away in the dirt. He'll chase it
  14. These kind of nights make me miss the Brian Fuentes days.
  15. BLOWPEN Another year with Mike Butcher butchering the staff and bullpen.
