    That was a ugly inning there, but you got give Blanton a little credit for getting out of that with only one run allowed.

    Guess we should have expected this. The Alvarez trade softens the blow a little.

    Wow... I don't know anything about Alvarez, but to get a another young pitcher with some upside for Romine is fine by me. I like this move a lot.

    I was just going to mention this. Getting pumped for the season seeing them play solid ball. Hope it carries over into the reg seas. 12 more days!

    Doesn't matter to me whether it's Trout or Calhoun leading off as long as Aybar hits at the bottom of the order where he belongs.

    I'm ok with this, wasn't really as high on Arroyo as others, especially on a multi year deal. The Angels seem to be committed to going with the young arms in the rotation this year.

    Ahhh I see, did not remember that. Strange that it links to the "real" Johan player profile and still shows,according to BBA that he was part of the org. Mistakes happen though. Thanks for quick response Scotty.

    2003 Has Johan Santana listed as the #51 prospect with the Angels... Did I miss something? When did the Angels ever have Santana? Probably a mistake. Even states in his player page under organizational rankings that he was ranked the #20 Anaheim Angels prospect after the 2000 season.

    Can never have too much depth. I like the signings.

    Didn't Burnett veto a trade to the Angels a few years back while with the Yankees? If he refused a trade then why would he sign as a free agent? I don't see him as an option for the team unless the massively over paid, and even then, that might not be enough to bring him West.
