  1. THE ANGELS ARE THE ASOLUTE BEST...WITH KILLING THEMSELVES ON THE BASE PATHS!
  2. Geez, am i OT, put it with the gameday thread, i guess?
  3. Napoli sucks! Thriving as a benefactor with a lucky team upon this series, so far. Somethings gotta give!
  4. You didn't get it, did you?! Will his return mean they win more than 76 ball games?
  5. Geez, where is the L in ur name?! Shortlived, my God!! Oberholzer that is!
  6. If also this year, the Angels have a 36% win record (above .500) throughout their history during the Olympic years. And provided this year, 8 of the 9 sub-.500 seasons would be 76 wins or less on a season. 2016: 49-64 as of 8/11/16 2012: 89-73 2008: 100-62 2004: 92-70 2000: 82-80 1996: 70-91 1992: 72-90 1988: 75-87 1984: 81-81 1980: 65-95 1976: 76-86 1972: 75-80 1968: 67-95 1964: 82-80
  7. He rushed back too soon. He needs more time to himself to re-strengthen and get back into gear. I'd imagine down the line it may happen for someone else, unfortunate for the Angels in that regard like Ryan Madsen, it's just the way the chips fall. We could see Nate Smith now. He's ERA climbed over the last 3, 4.40 to 4.67, but that might be from just going through the motions before his inevitable call up, too, possibly.
  8. He's moving on up to better things, guys! MLB pays out, not Arte, and they don't pay that much for internet beat writers. It's a resume launching point and Alden's on his way.
  9. My tweet to him: @Alden_Gonzalez Congratulations, and good luck; thanks for doing the Angels!! Hope all works well with that stingy ESPN upper mgmt., too!
  10. That was "Delirious," not "Raw" A Bear and a Rabbit are taking a sh*t in the woods. The bears turns to the rabbit and says, "excuse me, do you have a problem with sh*t sticking to your fur?" And the rabbit says, "no!" So the bear wiped his ass with the rabbit.
  11. Santiago gave a good feeling as the Angels starter for the day. Shoemaker gives a relieved feeling as seeing his face as the starter for today. And Skaggs, yeah baby, looking forward to seeing his face for his next start on the board! Between 2016 and 17, I won't have the same feeling toward Nolasco as I did Santiago.
  12. I posted on MLBTR over the Santiago trade, as well, but this is a gambled projection trade on a 26 y/o prospect that has durabilty concerns altogether. Eppler alluded too of interview with Roger Lodge yesterday that he's shown to be unhittable of a prospect. But that Ryan Madsen like throwing motion also asks whether he can sustain as a MLB SP. Along with Chuck mentioning, he could fall back into the bullpen for that reason. And with that risk at stake and the age, I would have kept the bird in the hand from a 33 y/o Nolasco getting lit up and uncertainty whether Meyer will start regularly upon his return this year. Eppler exercised with a PUT on Meyer by this trade. Looks knee-jerk to me!
  13. The Braves and Padres are, to answer my own question, WITH THIS DEADLINE; How soon I forgot!
  14. ...As 2 bottom-feeders trading off each other at the deadline; when is the last time we have seen that?!
  15. The Twins have got to be flipping Santiago to a contender for such a deal to take place, unreported as of now. It makes no sense to make it otherwise for both clubs, unless the Twins and Angels GM's are naïve with card misplay?
  16. That confidence brewing now though is to close.
  17. I was away from the game yesterday. I take it that Scioscia was just sitting him out altogether? Though indecent, and the nickname Indescrete, the "Nasty Cam" should close! If they're not trading Street nor Smith, they're setting up for the "Nasty Cam" at the end. Meanwhile, Scioscia treating Street and Smith for their front office trade appeal up to this point cost them a few wins while!
  18. Not on Lucroy, but throwing Smith into the mix on a 3-way? Both the Mets and Indians are rumored wanting him.
  19. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/07/details-on-mets-offer-to-brewers-for-jonathan-lucroy.html Could that be the Angels there??
  20. Send Joe Smith to the Brewers, get SP WILY PERALTA in return, and allow them to sweeten the deal for Lucroy and Smith to the Mets!
  21. Guerra and Nelson, for example, are too much of a reach. With a look over the Brewers' 40 -man, WILY PERALTA would be more real, who I would take from the Brewers and them flipping Smith over to a contender. Peralta needs to shed pounds, but he's 27 y/o, SERVICEABLE, needs a venue change, and the Angels could gear him up that he would probably better himself for. Maybe Ron Roeneke could convince Eppler to jump on that opportunity. Part ways with Tim, and bring PERALTA in for a stab at a stretch run with this lineup. Mods, can you bump this suggestion up to the forefront, perhaps?
  22. Exactly, we are seeing eye to eye. Such a hot card is a 3-way opportunity with opening things up.
