  1. Makes you wonder if Cron might rescind to take the Cards Tix: David Johnson for up to December and playoffs then ST 1 1/2 months later; or, 1st 1/2 Suns season tix missing the 2nd 1/2 to baseball. LOL I'd lobby him to take DJ over the Suns but can't fault him for his loyalty at the same time. Congratulations, CJ!
  2. All has hedged upon how he feels as to how I've tracked him. As long as that wrist stays unbothered, he's climbing!
  3. Yunel coming off the DL soon? Just adds more dynamic. Revere/Maybin in LF has become a nice problem for Sosh on his hands with Trout in there. On the one hand you'd like Revere in there to lead off as he's seemed to regain form. On the other, you want Maybin in there against LHPs. Sosh handles it, though.
  4. 10 of his 12 HRs on the season since the 2nd 1/2. .258 AVG raised now from what what 1st 1/2, .213 say? He mashes as long as he's healthy tremendous for this group. With Altuve having Trout and Simmons in his rearview mirror over that WAR Position Player leader, they might be gelling to the finish.
  5. As long as he stays healthy, that's just what he dangerously does. Trout, day to day, Calhoun, Simmons, Maybin/ Revere the x factor... Richards maybe returning...Meyer....who needs Verlander, right?! Athough, could the Halos be that mystery team vying for him? Chavez, another rock out of the bullpen. 2 players on the same team behind Altuve for the WAR Position Player leader (Simmons and Trout) is MLB being blindsided by all of this? WE SHALL SEE
  6. That's a big blow, damn it! Hopefully, it just ends up as a hiccup with the breather and rest needed.
  7. 1 IP Aug 15, Tue, @ Wash. to game out of reach against Gio among the top NL ERA pitchers. Since, the games have been too tight for him to come in while playing in the hot and humid Band Box Baltimore over the weekend. Which, the BP looked well in line despite the Machado GS without Bailey. Makes me wonder if they put him on the wire.
  8. Down-Under doesn't seem to give their pen high enough appraise with their ability to shorten for winning games. Particularly, while Chavez' live arm was added to it recently. Him, Parker, Bedrosian, Middleton, Norris, Parades, Bailey (yet to come in after returning from the DL). A lefty specialist might not be necessary. The Dodgers got Darvish, I would think Arte might be exploring a Verlander possibility to his battle for LA.
  9. Figure of speech. He has a 2020 option actually. 2.5-3.5 year term left beats having to deal with other free agent bidding wars at 7-10 years while they're expected to spend after Hamilton's falling off this year. Getting the early jump of putting that to Verlander might not be the bad alternative if they can get him from the Tigers without having to give up too much. Supposedly, the Tigers are looking for that taker of his remaining money, mainly. You're a Debbie Downer, aren't you?! On top of their resilience, what matters is their MLB rankings with offensive winning categories behind a stellar bullpen that has been the aiding backbone to the starting rotation all season.
  10. The lineup is good where it is at, the bullpen is baseball's best, and Verlander would be an extraordinary, rewarding, reinforcing add to the rotation to this season and beyond. If Arte would give Epp the go, willing to take on the money, no need to hesitate. Call it nabbing the early free agent prize in my book.
  11. Back to Verlander. Should/will Arte reward this present team with him? Huge contract, but could be worth the investment at the same time. The man can still bring it with impact.
  12. GREAT ROADTRIP, COME ON HOME AND TAKE IT TO THEM IN THIS BIG HOMESTAND. HOPEFULLY JC IS OKAY!
  13. WHEEEWWWWW! HEART ALWAYS POUNDS WITH FINISHING FOR THE WIN IN BALTIMORE BY THAT BALLPARK BANDBOX.
  14. I don't get it, he puts Cowart in the for the defensive purpose late innings anyway, and he starts Pennington? Hardly makes sense.
  15. Okay! Let's get some more runs and put these guys away!
  16. 3 batters way behind the fastball, and he got too cute!!!
  17. Why Slider to Trumbo after looking way behind the fastball, ughhhh!
  18. Cliff! Why did Sciosch play him over Cowart? Ok, 1st and 3rd, zilch Out, hopefully Keynan limits damage here.
