    Sigh Whatever man, if you dont want to debate then dont. I just feel sorry for the guy. Become an umpire, blow some calls (inevitable), then see how you feel when people treat you like garbage. Shows peoples true character.

    Pretty narrow-minded in here. Just trying to give umps some support. If calling someone a jerk when they make a bonehead comment is "sensitive", then yes I am. I'd like to see any of you do better.

    Very mature of you. What a nice guy. And I'm glad you equate blowing 1 strike call with job terminating failure. Because he doesn't have 250+ opportunities to make the same mistake. Either way, why don't you keep your day job man. I don't think you have the gull to be an umpire.

    Oh and to answer your question, it was a ball no doubt. I just think that the people screaming and crying about it or calling for his head don't actually realize how good these people are at their job. If you guys want to start arguing for K-Zone and what not, fine. Just don't go throwing hate out there for umpires that are doing a damn better job than you ever would. I'm speaking to the hate mongers of course.

    "deplorable actions"? You mean "calls you don't agree with"? Once again, have you ever umpired any kind of real baseball in your life? EDIT: Also, read the post I responded to above & quite a few others in this thread. "Hate mongers" beats any other obscenity that I would be justified in calling them.

    I can say for a fact that none of the people posting hate for umpires in this thread has even attempted their job in any fashion, let alone upper-level baseball. You people couldn't even umpire a decent Pinto game. Hate mongers.
