  1. Guess I'll be the apologist here. 37-for-41 in save chances last year. Perfect in save opportunities in August/September. Four consecutive lights-out innings in a row. Only one baserunner in all four outings combined. Breathe, people. Breathe. Frieri ain't pretty, but have you looked around the league lately? Nearly every closer seems to be injured, suspect, or ejected from the role already. Closers throw mistake pitches. Shit happens. We're 6-7 not 6-14. Pujols is mashing, Santiago's start portends great things to come... the weak link in our rotation is Weave! Color me more optimistic than most. Tonight smarted but it's one game. 149 to go.
  2. Did you hear this from your sources within the organization Chuck? Just Googled it and no mention that I can find online. He actually pitched decently in his last start here in Vegas 4/10. 5 2/3 IP, 1ER, 1BB, 6K. Nothing seemed valedictory about the performance...
  3. What a great article. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Guess who's last in the NL in batting average, runs scored, and stolen bases? This guy. So... one out of two ain't bad?
  5. That's hilarious. I guess it's good to be the owner!
  6. So for those of us unable to make games early this season, I'm dying to know. Is Buttercup still being played? And if not, what took its place? It didn't look good for Buttercup at Fanfest... sounded like the Powers That Be were getting the message!

  8. . oh, and... ... then there was always... Good times, good times.
  9. Seriously. Who is the absolute dead-last guy on the Braves depth chart. No, not that guy... he's too good. I would take that guy's ugly step brother who doesn't even play baseball in return, if the Braves would take Blanton and pay him the major league minimum (we pick up the rest).
  10. @JeffWilson_FWST Geovany Soto out 10-12 weeks with torn lateral meniscus. Surgery likely Wednesday. #Rangers Wow, the hits just keep coming for the Rangers.
