I'm just getting in...how did JH look today? I knows it's a first game, but curious how he looked.

I gotta admit, I'm beginning to get excited for the season. I'm usually excited in November, but this year, after the last few years, I've distanced myself as to not get too emotionally involved in a crappy team. Something feels different this ST, and after reading this, I'm feeling optimistic.

How awesome of Ortiz. Lately there has been so much negative backlash on this subject (Az and other states acting up is a big one) that seeing a high profile athlete come out and be supportive is refreshing. I would think band wagon fans would be the ones who aren't mad, cuz they don't truly care. So they can easily watch, or not watch and it's just meh. Bandwaggoners??? Really???? I have been a die hard fan of The Angels since the mid 70s, since I can remember. I spend $$$ every year seeing, them including this past weekend. I buy gear evey year, hats, jerseys and whatnot. My desk is loaded with Angels clocks and mousepads, rally monkeys etc...I dont have a 2nd favorite team, well, except any team playing someone in the AL West. My Fn IPhone has an Angels cover, still, right now. Watching this team "play", if thats what you call it these days, is painful. Its heartbreaking. Its not fun, exciting, or remotely entertaining. ITS HEARTBREAKING. I cant watch ESPN, MLB Network, because its going to be brought up HOW BAD THIS TEAM IS.I work at a radio station that has ESPN right next door, and guess what those dudes want to talk to me about everyday???? UGGHHH. I cant hear it anymore, or take it. I cant believe for a second that this season, of my favorite sport and favorite team in ANY sport is OVER. Will I watch these guys tonight? Yes. But have I been racing to get home to watch this pathetic display of whatever the F they are doing??? Hell no! You know what Im excited for? Football. I cant wait to see what my football team can do. Who do we trade to try and rebuild farm system? Pujols, Hamilton, Weaver and Trout are off the table. Kendrick? Whats his value? Aybar? Callaspo? Trumbo? It seems we'd have to give up Trumbo cuz hes the only with real value right now..uggh...

I'm going to my first game on Sunday. I haven't gone yet because knee surgery has gotten in the way. However, I am going expecting them to lose. That's the way approach all the games now, with negativity. Sucks how disappointing this team is. Depressing really. But hey, they'll get my "support" ($$$) on Sunday.

One of his at bats last night, you could tell that hiss swing was affected by his left foot. He didn't have it planted and he struck out. I bet a few days, maybe a week of rest would be huge. I've had it before. It's it terribly painful. Thy should give him a few days to see. Our bench players have been doing well. Maybe when Aybar gets back, give Pujols a rest? Hate to say that, but it'is a long season. Lets get him healthy.
