Pitching, other than CJ has been very good and the only reason since the break that we are .500. But man, this team feels like their losing their mojo, just barely hanging on. And with the As in cruise mode...ugh. I really hope these guys go on a tear, and fast.

Pitching taking a major hit due to injuries, hitting taking a major hit due to suckage. This team was fun to watch. Not so much lately. Frustrating.

Really?? How is 3rd in the league for GAME WINNING RBIs consistently bad? Is he Vintage Pujols? Nope. But he isnt consistently bad. Hell, he was the reason we were in it last night. And it seems pretty obvious that he is being a mentor and a leader for the young guys, Trout being the biggest one. That is pretty important. Winning a pretty important stat as well, an since he is 3rd in the league for winning RBIs, Id say he has something to do with our record.

I know Lackey is a complete dickbag, but if he's cheap, I wouldn't be mad if we traded for him. We need a starter. Weaver isn't as nails as he use to be, CJ is a ?mark, Skaggs and Santiago not ready to be trusted with a WS run. Richards and Shoemaker (and even he is a ? Mark) are the only rock solid bets we have on the mound. I mean I'd rather have Lester, but I wouldn't freak out over Lackey. But, I bet we wait til after the deadline for a starter.

No, that one hr doesn't alter his extreme suckitude, but it does help the standings. The one hr put us 1 1/2 back of Oakland. If we can manage to pull this one out, whoever the hero will be tonight, ipand the score stays the same in Houston tonight, we will be 1/2 game back. So while Freese isnt killing it, he is contributing to the overall goal, and that is winning the division and going all the way. I'm watching the A's-Astros game and they mentioned Gentry going on the DL and Coco Crisp not on the road trip due to neck pain. Wonder if this could slow them down a bit? Not sure how important Gentry is, but Coco is a pain in the ass for sure.
