What happened to the supposed Detmers uptick on his fastball? He was sitting at mostly 92 on his fastball on his start. If he remains at 92 to 93 on his fastball, I definitely see C-Rod as having higher ceiling.

Nobody is writing him off. You are overreacting as usual. Could be first major league game jitters or it could just be he needs more work but starting in second inning it wasn't looking good by the location of his pitches. Too many pitches in the middle and high middle of the strikezone.

He just need to locate his fastballs much better. First homer was middle in fastball to one of the league leading homerun hitter, and second homer was a fastball right down the middle of the plate.

His fastballs are meatballs right down the middle. That's not going to work against major league hitters.
