    I'm a big fan of Patrick Maroon. He's so much better than Staubitz at hockey, and he's a pretty solid fighter. Konopka is a veteran fighter, and Maroon beat him pretty easily in a fight today. He also likes to throw huge hits, and is great along the boards on the cycle.

    He's very good defensively, and if he hits like he did in 2009 or 2011...he's more than adequate. His 2010 and 2012 seasons really sucked though. Here's hoping we get at least a .350 OBP out of him this year.

    Conger is the new Napoli, and Hester is the new Mathis. It's really sad that a young local guy with decent upside with the bat isn't ever going to get a chance.

    Crosby was with Iginla the whole tourney. I have a feeling that since Iggy has declined...Nash might be playing with Crosby in next years olympics. We'll see.

    We should just trade Conger for whatever already. It's clear he has no future in Anaheim. Let's at least give the kid a fair chance to succeed else where.

    The Braves actually might have made a decent trade looking back on it. They traded for a reliever who struck out well over a batter per inning last year, and only gave up a pitcher who had a WHIP over 1.4, and has serious arm concerns Edit: Not saying Walden is good at all. Just saying that he has upside judging by his K rates.

    The other reason we need to keep Kole is because he provides backup in case Bourjos struggles again, or Trumbo has another 2nd half streak. I don't feel comfortable having just Wells as the backup OF when we have two pretty big question marks in the OF (Trumbo and Bourjos)

    One of Calhoun or Conger needs to make the team. We could use a little lefty pop off the bench, and they're both having good springs

    I can't wait for the olympics. Nash-Getzlaf-Perry is going to be such a dominant line. Canada should make that a line. They'd dominate anyone.

    I'm very concerned about Callaspo as well. Sub-.700 OPS out of the 3B position isn't what we should settle on.
