The Angels could have drafted Cody with their third pick in the 2013 Draft. He does strike out a lot.
Dipoto. The gift that keeps on taking. Talk about a snake eyes draft (Keynan might stick, as well as Nate Smith).

I firmly believe Eppler is a master of communication skills. Everything about him is likeable. The fact these players are signing so quickly is a great sign.

Traditionally, the best reliever in a team's bullpen gets designated the closer. In recent years, though, there's been an argument that using your best reliever in high-leverage situations is more valuable than saving your closer for a save opportunity that may never materialize.
Huston Street is not a fan of that thinking according to David Alder of MLB.com.
"I'll retire if that ever happens," Street said. "If they ever tell me, 'Oh, we're gonna start using you in these high-leverage situations.' … All right, good. You now can go find someone else to do that, because I'm going home."
I wonder how he will feel being used in low leverage situations, like when trailing 7 runs in the 8th.

Scioscia manages much worse than this in the playoffs. He is a dumpster fire when the game is on the line.

Why is Nelson Cruz in a bathtub with another man asking to watch the Angels game?

Got it. Then I was correct in that you don't know how these things work.
Like Nixon, you are a Dick.

Scioscia just said the game was lost before the 9th. What a delusional skipper.

Imagine if he would have sat Marte who was batting about .180 entering the game and started Valbuena who is batting .176, we would have certainly won.
Valbuena catches a little league pop out.

Start a praise thread about EY Jr. and he goes 0-fer.
Start a rant thread about Calhoun sucking balls and he hits two bombs.
Posters defend Scioscia and he has his worst managed game of the year.

Starting Marte and leaving Alvarez in.

CJ not Marte.

And Mike strikes again. Closers close games.

Ok, so who is Soso then?
My father called Scioscia Soso (he was not a fan either).

CJ Cron hits a grand slam and is sent to AAA. Watch Marte start tomorrow after hitting into a triple play.

Aybar led the Angels team in sacrifice bunts in 2008.
From the left side of the plate? On a 2-0 count? After Aybar won game three on a single?

A lead off double by Morales in the 2008 ALDS. 3 outs to play with. Sacrifice him over. You then ask Aybar to pull off what he has never done before. Aybar and Willits failed to execute. You can also argue that Mike gift wrapped the Red Sox a series win.

Quin for the Win.

Who left him off the roster? You must not know how this stuff works.
And you fail to read through posts properly.

The only time Willits came into the game batting fourth before the 8th inning was in the 7th inning of a 0-14 blowout. I don't know of anyone stupid enough to opt for Quinlan over Willits as a defensive replacement.
So defense mattered more than power, when the team could not get any offense going? Let's agree to disagree.

Quinlan was available. Willits?

Let me guess @DropOfAnaheim, you are one of those guys that remembers Scioscia batting Hamilton 4th in the playoffs in 2014.
I remember him resting the team after clinching, and them being ice cold facing the Royals.

Batting Willits clean up.

Maybe Mike can reunite with Sham Wow someday in another town.
