  1. I will make sure it's an hour or two after the game tonight, but the site will be down for renovations. This is a major release so it comes with some new bells and whistles, including performance upgrades. Here is the roundup of what's new in Invision Community 4.2! Highlights There's a lot of new feature in 4.2 but here are a few of the highlights: Promoting Content - A new way to promote content in your Community internally, on Facebook, and on Twitter. Clubs - Clubs are a brand new way of supporting sub-communities within your site. Many people have requested social group functionality in the past and Clubs are our implementation of this concept. Reactions - Offer more fine-grained sentiments towards content than a simple up/down or 'like'. They are now in common usage on social networks, and so users expect to be able to be more nuanced in their response to something they see. Complete Your Profile - Encourage or require members to fill out the details on their profile. Also now allows for quick registration to encourage joining. And a whole lot more.. It goes on... here is the full list! 2. Pretty damn impressive that he's tied with the likes of Betts, Rendon and the undisputed best SS in the game, Carlos Correa. That's he also ahead of Kershaw, Springer, Goldy, Sale and of course, that little punk ass bitch, Bryce Harper.
  3. Simmons WAR is higher than Bryce Harper, bitches!
  4. These guys are a couple of Mexican Blanton's.
  5. They just won the first half, so we may see him soon. I'd like to see him play in the field, but not if it's going to aggravate an injury he's nursing. Scouts have already touted him on defense, in both range and throwing arm so I think we're good there.
  6. Same here. If you take Maldonado and Simmons off this roster, even if Trout is 100% healthy, we're in way worst shape in the standings.
  7. I thought after watching Ozzie Smith, Omar Vizquel, Roberto Alomar and even more recently, Robinson Cano that nobody could be smoother than these cats around the diamond. I was wrong.
  8. I honestly watch the game because of Trout and Simmons. I'm just hoping a youth movement starts soon. I'd love to see more of Cowart, Bridwell, Meyer (Due back soon) and perhaps some kids up from AAA/AA.
  9. Approaching a .300 average, walks, steals bases, hits home runs and don't get me started on that defense. Braves got bent over. Thanks, Eppy!
  10. According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the Yankees are "making progress toward" a trade with the A's that would involve both Sonny Gray and Yonder Alonso. Feinsand notes that Oakland has been "heavily scouting the Yankees' system of late." Gray is also believed to be drawing serious trade interest from the Nationals, Dodgers, Astros, and Braves. The 27-year-old right-hander holds a 3.66 ERA, 1.176 WHIP, and 85/28 K/BB ratio in 91 innings this season and he is under contractual control through 2019. Alonso, a 30-year-old first baseman batting .264/.363/.535 with 21 home runs in 89 games, is scheduled to become a free agent this winter.
  11. Which is a dumb reason. You start your best option to win a game, not because he hits oppo the pitchers throwing arms.
  12. Sosh digs the long ball and Valbuena has crushed 4 in his past 13 games.
  13. So since Meyer went on the DL, Scioscia still has a few toys to play with in Pennington and Franklin. Good luck, Cowart.
  14. If you're seriously contemplating moving on from the Angels to another team, because of their success and our recent failures, then I would argue you were never a real fan to begin with.
  15. I think he's a good throw in, or a player that's needed to solidify a deal.
  16. Trade Cron, Thaiss, one of Long or Barria and Hermosillo.
  17. Do it! Scioscia type of player in that he's versatile and can run, in addition to having power.
  18. 1. Yunel Escobar (R) 3B 2. Mike Trout (R) CF 3. Albert Pujols (R) DH 4. Kole Calhoun (L) RF 5. Andrelton Simmons (R) SS 6. Luis Valbuena (L) 1B 7. Ben Revere (L) LF 8. Martin Maldonado (R) C 9. Kaleb Cowart (S) 2B P: Jesse Chavez
  19. I'm just afraid he'll have an 0-fer game and then sit for several days. I mean, he was the hero in the W in Boston and got sent down the next day.
