Agreed. He does so many things well, including short passes to him in the slot which he turns into HUGE gains. He's also an incredible change of space RB from the backfield, not to mention a deep threat.

What a shitty stat, but I can guarantee you this, it won't be the reason Hester beats out Conger for the backup C job. Conger had the inside edge as backup C but has essentially (and literally) thrown his name out of the hat with his poor throws this spring.

Hanson's issue isn't his velocity, it's his command. He's leaving pitches up in the zone. Weaver FB works in the 88-91 range too. When Tommy first came up he was hitting 89-94 mph, but mostly working in the 89-91 range throughout his starts.
