Well said.
Rivera is probably the greatest closer to ever put on a uniform, and we are about to see the end of a truly dominant career. A guy who just goes out and does his job, doesn't brag, doesn't show up opponents, and has done it with class the whole time. I'm not a fan of his team, but I appreciate the greats of the game no matter who they play for.

This team looks like it is trying to push out the mother of all bowel movements while suffering from constipation.
To improve the Angels, I think that Blanton should continue pitching, Hamilton should get as many at bats as possible, blindfolds for all runners and a disabled parking tag for Pujols (moves the batters box closer to first).
-
Blanton is the new Mathis. With Mike in charge, some things stay the same.
-
If the Angels were run like where I work, Scioscia would be promoted to the front office after this season.
Consistently bad play requires a level of commitment beyond the players...just sayin.
-
Good job Josh, Way to fight back in in the count to get a strikeout.

Fried chicken and beer for everyone!!! It couldn't hurt.

Shocking that a guy that every other team passed on, isn't playing well.
Not to worry. Mike Scioscia is one of the best managers in the game and is able to turn him around.
-
Trade him to another team. He will be lights out.

He has the correct shape to be a stopper. Good call.

There it is.

Wait for it...

How about hitting for different teams?

I believe the nightmare is overpaid and underperforming superstars being coddled by overrated manager.
-
I think it is now clear who the worst team is in the league. I have never seen so many pitchers leave games with some sort of an "injury." The good news is that yesterday was PAYDAY!!!!!! Players can pay their bills.

Thanks Arte. At the end of the day, it is your money. I am simply along for the ride. I hope the Angels can someday find a balance between Stoneman's conservative approach and Dipoto's creativity.

One of our two big sluggers can hardly walk at this point.
I too thought the Angels should sit Pujols until I watched him try and beat out the slow roller to third last night. He looks like one of the few Angels who has the balls to play hard under difficult circustances, and care about it. I am not sure how many other Angels would continue to play, or play as hard under those conditions.
-
I'm still in, but not pleased with the results. I have seen worse.
-
Not having any direct connection to the inner workings of Angel baseball (i.e. video game playing), it appears that Scioscia and Dipoto are in a power struggle. I would argue that Artie needs to decide who he has more faith in and fire the other person, because they both can not coexist.

I thought the Angels had someone familiar with catching? Do the Angels have anyone who can help Hank?

"The ship was doing well and then one unfortunate incident creates some confusion. Obviously things are not going as we expected but the crew and coaches continue to work hard while we are taking on water. You just need to tip your hat to the iceberg and turn the page."
