Pretty much. I don't understand how anyone could actually believe Hamilton's contract is worse than Albert's
I had a difficult time watching Hamilton consistently swing and miss at off-speed breaking balls 3 feet off the plate while being paid to be a middle of the order bat. I am not looking forward to 4 more years of that. I guess I prefer to watch the "decline" of Pujols than the "prime" of Hamilton. If he is still playing, I think Pujols in year 10 will have a better year than Hamilton did in year 1 in their respective contracts.
I know I may be the only one thinking this way. I enjoy living in my own little world. Everyone knows my name.

He is an option. It depends on who else is available and how close it is to closing time.
I would most certainly rather have Santana taking the mound than Blanton.
-
I will continue to root for Pujols. I hope he, and the Angels surprise everyone in 2014.
-
-
Does this mean the Yankees need a 2nd baseman?
-
I know I am in the minority, but I disagree that Pujol's contract is bad I am glad he is an Angel and look forward to his healthy return next season.
The Hamilton contract is a different story. That is a bad contract.
As is the Blanton contract.
As is the Wells contract.
As is the Trout contract. (Pay the man.)

Looking forward to the A's winning the west again. Kazmir will probably throw a perfect game against the Angels-twice.

A famous author (E.E Cummings) had the exact same problem with his writing. At the end of one essay, E.E. Cummings simply included a long line of commas, periods, semi colons and full colons to appease an editor. You may want to consider, as a signature, including all of the punctuations available with a friendly note to any disgruntled reader that they can stick these anywhere they like.

If Howie can net the Angels a solid pitcher-trade 'em. He will be missed, but I suspect not as much as a quality starter.
-
I like the thinking. First, who would be dumb enough to entertain the offer? The Angels already have him.
-
He's made at least 32 starts every year since '05. Not my first choice but we
could dohave worse.Fixed.
Disclaimer: This does not imply I am supporting signing Arroyo or even think it is a good idea. Pitching, we need pitching. We do not need anymore crappy pitching, we seem to be in a position of strength in that area.
-
How bad must the Twins be to sign two pitchers the Angels passed on? Hope the fans enjoy that rotation over 162 games. Wow......
Maybe Blanton taught them something.

Artie....NO!!
Look away.....Pitching, we need Pitching.

The stadium absolutely needs a roof. The cockroaches that parade as congressman do not like direct light still want to watch baseball.

I am OK with this. The Winter Meetings are coming up, and shopping has just began.
Thinking that Justin Morneau can once again be a productive player is dreaming. The Rockies may come to their senses and return to the table.
Move along.

I just searched for it after you posted, since none of the legitimate baseball writers had said anything about it. Never heard of the Collin dude before. Sounds like some kid, really.
Here's another great tweet from him:
"You don’t need to be an asshole to get ahead in life, but you can’t be a pushover either."
Thanks, buddy.
Sounds like the Dali Llama.

Albert's daughter has Down's syndrome. This is his charity event for that. If you notice in the pictures the kids on the basketball floor and the picture of the kids on the bench with him are all special needs children.
You need to focus on what is right in the world instead of being over critical of a player giving a whole lot back to the community.
I am with you. Good call.

Based on that, he might become the next GM.

I would rather have Lyman Bostock having a bad year in the OF than the POS Hamilton. At least Bostock had character, class and humility.
As far as Hamilton goes, it is a good thing that Jesus is larger than a baseball or Josh would have swung and missed.
-
Wells came with a $21 million dollar contract for a position we had surplus talent to fill. Freese was being paid less than Callaspo that he replaces at a position the Angels have no talent to plug gap.
Rational thoughts.....welcome back.
Still do not like the trade but drinking has taken the edge off.
-
Based on Dipoto's pitching selections, I expect the next new Angel pitcher to be old, blind, wheelchair bound with a huge upside.
-
Pitching. We need pitching.
This is a trade that does not seem to be time sensitive. This trade could have happened later in the offseason after Dipoto addressed our pitching needs. I realize there were three players at third base, bit not one of them served up walk off homers or blew big leads.
Pitching. We need pitching.
