At this point it's rather irrelevant to me whether Mike Scioscia should get fired or not.  When players with these credentials play like this there is not a manager on this planet who will get them to win.  It's pretty easy to blame just about anyone in this organization for this start, including DiPoto, Scioscia, the coaches, and virtually all of the players.  I might even be inclined to blame Arte for meddling with the construction of the players on the team (even though he has every right to do so).  I could even blame the fans for constantly crying about certain players, and wanting changes to be made every fifteen minutes, eliminating any consistency or stability.

The organization will get to the firing, trading, releasing stuff soon enough (probably real soon at this rate).  Until then I don't plan to let it eliminate my interest in baseball, or snuff out any hope that this team as currently constructed can find answers to their problems.

This is actually a great comparison. The majority of high quality women sleep around like whores during their teens and 20s with bad boys, and then settle down with some nice guy who listens to her problems and takes her verbal abuse in her 30s. While this dude is treating this lady like a princess (The Angels giving Pujols and Hamilton huge contracts for who they are), other guys did the deed and never had to see her again (St Louis and Texas having both of these guys on the cheap for the best part of their careers, and then not dealing with them when they wanted the the big wedding).

The 2013 Scoreboard has been updated through 4/5/13, or game #4.  Mark68 is due for a PED test, LOL.

Black is still coaching the Padres, LaRussa is retired, Salmon and Erstad...don't you think they'd be a bit green as all-out managers?

No, they are far too easy to predict for hitters.  There are many stats in a box score.  When we have well over 100 participants in this game, and 162 eligible games to predict, that's a lot of scoring.  Most people are very baseball smart on this website, I think they are ready for the challenge of predicting stats that take a little more thought.  Considerable thought was put into the 2013 rule changes to make it more interesting and challenging;  example, adding in relief pitching.  Failure is rampant in baseball and easier to predict, especially strikeouts for hitters.

The candle probably extinguished itself when he tried to give it directions.  It got confused, and refused to participate.

See thread above for the 2013 Game Day Prediction Rules.  I have it on my computer as a Word File, and when I transferred it over the spacing got out of wack.  Probably because my original file wasn't paced very well.  In any event, I realligned it.  I forgot how to stickey this, can one of you smarter guys stickey it for me so it can be easily accessed throughout the season?  Or perhaps tell me how to stickey it.
