  1. I wonder if that contract has gotten into Fletcher's head?
  2. There is no precedent, it's perhaps wrong to make a direct comparison. You do have to factor in that Ohtani doesn't play on the field outside of when he pitches (so far at least). But if Ohtani continues to do well on both sides, he is in a league of his own and an MVP candidate (which by default makes him a challenger to Trout).
  3. Lol. Trout is the one of the best overall players since you know who, but Ohtani is more exciting to me. Heck, Ohtani got MLB The Show 21' to focus on two-way player storyline. He basically forced that game to allow for two way players, he changed modern baseball.
  4. A sign of volatility, hopefully they're peaking early.
  5. Considering Ohtani's unorthodox playing time as a pitcher, we really couldn't ask for a better result to start the season. The hype is still sky high for Sho-Time. We are truly blessed to have the most exciting talent in baseball since you know who, perhaps Ohtani calls his shot someday.
  6. No, I would rather keep a franchise player even if he is older and slightly worse than a new upcoming talent. There is also no guarantee Acuna or Soto will be long term successes bound for the HoF, sometimes the league adjusts to them and the player can't adjust back, it's happened many times. Also Trout is built different than these guys, dude's a literal muscle walking around. I'm sure some of you disagree but there are no guarantees in baseball, besides an Acuna contract will probably make Trout's look like a bargain. On top of all of that, Trout has had a remarkably injury free career on the whole, his durability is great, Acuna or Soto could potentially get a career altering injury that throws off their projections big time they could also fold like a lawn chair. It's actually impossible to have a right or wrong answer until all is said and done and we're speaking past tense.
  7. Wtf are baseballs juiced again? That shouldn't be a HR
  8. If he keeps playing the way he has this year he will be passed up.
  9. I didn't feel like complaining but my body aches after that loss, pretty dreadful. Ohtani and Trout both got dominated badly, by the Strangers no less. Unacceptable by Trout, at least Ohtani gave one a ride. Rangers had a game plan and it worked VERY well tonight.
  10. Lol people on here are so negative, it's just one game guys. We have no mojo right now is all.
  11. Twins threw us off our mojo, they saw it and played the covid card
  12. I guess a small blessing in disguise since we got the injury bug, Rendon won't have missed as much time as expected, downside is some of our prospects won't get the same opportunities
  13. I had a bad feeling about tonight with Quintana and the Twins lineup so blessing in disguise? We'll never know. Regardless, mega piassed we're not playing tonight
  14. Lots of potential upside in this roster, we finally have depth fit for an injury riddled season, and while injuries bugs aren't a good thing on the surface, it reveals your depth. Eppler did very well on finding these young position players, although he did whiff on pitching for the most part.
  15. Jared Walsh looking more real every day, is he Pinnochio or a real boy?
  16. Gotta say Heaney is better than his ERA says, he always has that one inning though, and a team like the Twins will not mess around.
  17. I was never mad at him and I understood his bullpen decision, so if anything he gained rep from me.
