  1. Perhaps it's a good idea but, Simmons avg is really pretty overrated, his OBP/OPS is quite sub pedestrain, his righty bat is also not the best thing to have in a lineup chock full of righties. It's also a shame Rengifo nor Berreto have shown up at all.
  2. Damn Walsh looks good now, sure he got out but that's a hit most of the time
  3. Bullpen and lineup (RISP especially) is our concern really, our starting pitching seems to be fine outside Teheran, an ace type wouldn't hurt though.
  4. Ah looks like a joined at a good time, almost a new ballgame. Lots of tears in this thread lol, hey look I can float!
  5. I noticed his elite hands and compared him to Daniel Murphy/Lance Berkman, Maddon confirmed it in the article yesterday. He's a career .800+ OPS guy if he keeps it up. Thaiss is trade bait, I don't think the other teams realize how lost he looks yet.
  6. But for some reason 2 other people responded my post without throwing a fit, I wonder why? I assume they have better reading comprehension and don't hold weird grudges.
  7. He walked in a 'clutch' situation just as I said he should. Dumb I am.
  8. Angels are going to be a real threat next year, esp if Adell/Marsh can just become pedestrian not asking a whole lot for someone with their ceiling. Adell also really hasn't earned a spot in the outfield either, but we have no choice really to send him down next year with so few options in the near term future, Marsh & Adell will likely be competing for a spot with Upton out there. TBH I see Adell as a future Upton type, very streaky hitter with good power but a poor OBP, he will eventually be a LF because of his poor ball tracking ability but his speed will make up for many bad reads. I feel Marsh is going to be our true RF OPS+ guy, his lefty bat fits this current lineup far better, we are thirsty for talented lefty bats and our new stadium configuration slightly favors lefties.
  9. When it's not the seventh inning or later is a really bad example to use for clutch, generally speaking clutch is a game saving or go ahead/game winning situation after the 7th inning. RISP in the 4th inning down by one isn't 'high leverage' to me.
  10. Trout isn't clutch, it's pretty much consensus that he doesn't get the big hit but he might walk, depends on your definition of clutch kind of, but that argument would be weak.
  11. Walsh the next Daniel Murphy? With more pop? We can dream.
  12. Not understanding what I said makes who stupid? I am sorry but you are now on ignore for me, can't have a conversation with someone who can't comprehend anything I say and constantly assaults my character. Stradling, a true idiot.
  13. So age makes up for that uncanny valley between a minor league professional and Major League Ballplayer? Who's to say Thaiss isn't infinitely far away from being an average MLB infielder. Like a lunar probe originally destined for the Moon is now set course for the nearest star, it should only take 80,000 years or so. Not once has Thaiss looked even remotely as confident or talented as Walsh has the last week. Time is not on our side to wait around and hope to see it.
  14. Not only is Walsh better than Thaiss defensively and officially a major league hitting threat .900 + OPS, (likely unsustainable this season but who knows?) Walsh is also our only successful hitting LHH as it stands, in today's game Walsh was the ONLY LHH in the lineup. Thaiss is dust in the wind.
  15. 8 RHH in a lineup and the 1 lefty goes boom, Walsh is more valuable than we know
