Apparently he listens to a lot of extemporaneous advice so you might catch his ear.
And who might you be? I didn't ask for a crotch's advice.

There's really nothing to discuss in this thread, it's a statement. That's why nobody is talking about it, because I'm right. I'm going to e-mail Manfred.

Stop deleting my posts, dad.

You shouldn't derail your own thread. Stay on topic, you are not the topic.
Drama is cool no?

Says the enabler, I talked to a top head about you a few hours ago. Stradling.

The thread title is not well structured. I can only imagine how bad it was before.
But, in response to the original post, spending money and not being successful is not to be rewarded.
I agree it was bad, fixed

Fuck off, get out of my thread. Seriously, everyone shut the fuck up about me for one fucking minute

The Yankees, dodgers, and Red Sox say hello.
I mean if the team has shown good results and won more games, they deserve less draft support. A weighted draft in this manner will remedy complete teardowns and gutted fan bases.
-
I'll keep this short and sweet:
MLB rewards teams that are destructive, handing out high draft picks for tearing down and losing lots of games, a complete rebuild hurts fans and players, all for the selfish act of building up a cheap and powerful, effective system. It's not good for baseball. The Angels have not done a complete rebuild once this century, they have spent exorbitant amounts to win and please the fans every season, yet we get the worst deal in the league when we come up short. Why doesn't the league reward teams that actually spend and attempt to win every season? The rebuilders are the ones that should be punished, what good are they for the sport? Why let the abusers continue to take advantage of a loophole in the sport for their own gain?
The money spent yearly is hard evidence to support this. A team that spends nearly the same and wins far less than another team should be heavily weighted in their favor for the better draft slot.

Maddon, wears glasses and looks smart, that's the only thing I can think of. We need Scioscia back in our org.
-
We're in a way better position than the Phillies are you kiddin? They don't have the best player in baseball or Ohtani or a killer lead-off hitter or a Rendon. Our team is twice as exciting.

Why are you such a 15 year old girl about uniform changes?
Takes one to know one zzzzz
-
I know I already said the Angels/Scioscia bridge has been burned, but with Maddon back perhaps amends will be made and Scioscia will be convinced to return and join the front office etc. It's a possibility at least.
-
No but they might trim the sleeves of the new uniforms.

Bundy, 2020
Bundy was supposed to be a #5 maybe #4 at best, he was a reclamation project and was not projected to #3, that was Teheran no? Bundy wasn't a signing, he was a trade, so it's irrelevant to this thread. Love you Louie.

Angels shouldn't spend $40MM unless they can get two Bauers, no way any pitcher is worth nearly $30-35 next year with so many uncertainties. It's time to save money for a better off-season.
-
-
I don't understand how we could spend $12MM on a "#3" given our track record, what is a #3 anyways and when was the last time we signed one that worked out? Also how can you justify spending that amount on a decent pitcher at best, players have depreciated in value since the shortened season and the uncertainties ahead. Players are not worth what they were in 2019.

Another sort of positive is that with the shorter season, we had less bedrosian threads.
Bedrosian is gonna be really good next year, he's a vet now and knows what he needs to do. Plus I know their family so I am biased.

Haha. I wasn’t giving you my approval. If you were asking the OP then quote the OP. As you have pointed out this is a message board where we share opinions. If you don’t want other opinions then feel free to send the OP a private message.
It's fine dude, you get a pass I'm not going to escalate. I'm not as edgy today, day 3 quitting smoking. Trying to control my anger and health.

Cool, no one was saying anything like that.

Are you trying to make a point that the Angels shouldn't be so focused on big names and retaining expensive players and should be more willing to cycle through players? What if the Marlins fans feel the opposite and want someone like Yelich to stick around for them? I'll tell ya what, losing great players hurts, regardless if you are good or not.

I like the idea of finding talent from a franchise with a well run and super effective front office like the Rays, we have the money. If they feel they aren't being payed enough for their services making the Rays so effective they should speak up. We're here to help them help us, our market is huge and we have one of the best players and the most exciting player on the same team.
*The only caveat* I see with hiring someone from the Rays front office is that we might have too much money, too lax, perhaps the financially restrictive nature of a front office like the Rays is it forces real clever and cost effective methodology to acquiring talent that wouldn't be possible unless we forced the same restrictions on ourselves.
MLB drafts should be weighted and here's why
