  1. Any hitter that can score Cron from first definitely gets props lol. Nice job Cron and Moose!
  2. Angel "hitters" if you can call them that again don't look like they like the pressure of big games. I predict as soon as they fall out of the race and they're 10 games back in September they'll all of a sudden start driving in runners with the pressure off. Then they'll say they're still in it even though they're 10 games back with 20 to go. If they go wild and wake up this game then great. But that's what it looks like. Shit my 2nd favorite team is the Dbacks and even they hit this fool- and they have no hitting at all.
  3. LTBU!! How about a hand for the new guys tonight? Cron and Grichuk 1 RBI each and Lopez with the 1.2 inning save! Huge win tonight
  4. How tf are these guys so bad with RISP? You would think accidentally you would once in awhile get lucky ffs
  5. We have to add on this inning. Pierce Johnson is really having a year. Gotta push at least 1 across here.
  6. Hats off to Nevin for walking Olson and not letting him get the chance to get his 900th career HR off the Angels. That was a no brainer there to me.
  7. Is it any surprise Matt Olson is 2 for 2? Man I have not missed this guy being in the AL west. I remember he used to hit one against us every single game when he was with Oakland.
  8. Cron and Grichuk going back to where it all started for the Halos. This should help the offense. This offense should be solid when Trout and Drury and O'Hoppe come back.. Only question is will it be too late?
  9. Oh yeah I already knew their chances were slim to make it. All I wanted was to make it a meaningful August and September which we haven't had here since 2015. I've forgotten what a meaningful pennant race feels like.
  10. At this point it may be a good thing lol. Instead of having to watch it I'll just get up after a night of drinking and they'll be down 5-0 lol
  11. It felt so good to be an Angels fan a few days. We just can't have nice things I guess.
  12. I feel like this has been from 2016 on. The last time I had fun being a fan of this team was 2015. It's just been a decade of frustration and misery.
  13. Let's face it this team doesn't have the balls to step up in big spots. There is not one clutch player on this team except Ohtani. The rest of them are all comfortable in 4th place and out of a playoff race. They'll all get their wish soon enough.
  14. Stefanic has made 2 nice plays this game. Sadly unless he goes 6 for 6 with 4 homeruns he'll be on the bench all next week while Andrew Velasquez plays.
  15. It always seems to be against the good teams that they need to beat where this RISP nightmare comes into play too.
  16. Now Ohtani's CG is huge! We're looking at best a 5 inning slog from Sandoval. Looks like a completely different guy than the Yankees outing last week.
  17. An Ohtani CG would be the best possible way to start a doubleheader today. Give the bullpen a huge break.
  18. What's the record for outs at home plate in a single season? I feel like whatever it is we're close to breaking it. Good job to Cabbage though for the sac fly!
  19. Couldn't have said it better myself. We tried the "stand pat and maybe we'll be competitive in 5 years" approach with Billy Eppler and it got us nowhere. I give Perry credit for trying with this trade, and for trading for Moose and Escobar the same weekend about a month ago. I never saw Quero play or anything, but once O'Hoppe emerged earlier this year as the starting catcher I figured he was probably blocked with the Angels. At least if they fall short and miss the playoffs again this year I can applaud them for the effort. Hopefully the boys respond and kick some ass in the doubleheader today. Let's go!!
  20. Man you are a million percent correct. They love having their poison pens ready when Ohtani has a big game and they lose. When Trout and Ohtani homer in the same game and they lose it's even worse.
  21. Ohtani obviously didn't pitch to his standards tonight but he gave up all solo home runs. Besides the back to back he recovered nicely after each one. I'll take that over walking the ballpark any day. Offense and bullpen need to go get him the win now!
