  1. Johnny G is so ****ing clutch. WE NEED TO GET THIS F*CKING RUN IN!
  2. Harper is the buffoon who lacks respect for the game. This isn't the first time he's been called out for jogging through the base paths, acting cocky and pissing off players. Trout is leagues and bounds ahead of him as a man.
  3. Yup, Harper clearly rubs some vets the wrong way with his lack of respect for the game.
  4. Even if he doesn't end up hitting for a little more power/average, he's still a 5-6 WAR player year in and year out right now. That makes him a top 15 position player in the major leagues. Averaging over 5 WAR per year through his first 6 seasons? This.
  5. Going full retard and giving $$$ to old, injured guys with holes in their swing in Wells/Pujols/Hamilton shouldn't deter Arte in signing a young, healthy Heyward. In Heywards case, his best is yet to come -- whereas Wells/Pujols/Hamilton were long gone their glory days.
  6. I'm in the sign Heyward or bust group. I still think he has his best years ahead of him offensively, and his defense is top notch. He's worth losing a 1st round pick for. If we can get him, a serviceable defensive 2B that can get on base should be enough. A bullpen addition or two as well.
  7. Damn, Harper really put it all together this season. I know it was to be expected and all with his hype, but after his first few seasons..it's kind of crazy. It can't just be him being injury free, he looks like a totally different player. I wouldn't be surprised if he out-WAR's Trout from this point forward in their careers.
  8. Just checked his stats the second I woke up this morning and realized that it's all starting to come together again right before you made this thread. Do you think he could get back up to a .300 average/.400 OBP/1.000 OPS by the end of the season? He's pretty close in terms of OBP/Slug to get to a 1.000 OPS, but I don't know about that average. It could be the difference between an MVP award (if he heats up even more and gets us into the playoffs) and being in 2nd place for the third time.
  9. I think we'll be 3-4 games back of Texas by the time we face them. There's no way they rest their players when a sweep could mean not winning the division for them.
  10. I think we end up 84-78. Winning 2 out of 3 vs Seattle and Oakland, and splitting 2-2 with Texas. Is that enough to get in? Who knows.
  11. We need to guarantee a chance at playing 3 games in the playoffs, who cares if Weaver has to play in the series -- we need to get there first. Richards starts vs Yankees in Wild Card game.
  12. Good lineup. Calhoun, Trout and Pujols went 0-13 earlier..can't have that happening again if we want to win.
  13. Wow, just realized that the game is at 4:10 and not 7:10, we played the first game for 4 hours and 15 minutes.
  14. Which isn't even that bad imo, .5 a game loss in the standings after a double header. We still play Houston again. I'd pop a champagne if A happened though.
  15. LIGHT THAT BITCH UP!!! Need one of the guys to go off tonight. Trout, Pujols, Cron.
  16. Also, looks like we could have scored again with Pujols walk if Calhoun made it to 1st.
