  1. Las Vegas does have a Triple AAA Team, last I knew.
  2. Mouseketeer and played Mark McCain on the Rifleman (Age 75): Johnny Crawford, 'The Rifleman' actor, dies at 75 (usatoday.com)
  3. I hesitated at first because of 2 reasons: 1) The conspiracy theory that the vaccine is 666, and 2) I was afraid the vaccine would kill me quick because I had a massive pulmonary embolism 5 years ago which did a lot of damage. I later realized that the conspiracy theory which was spread by a wacko You-Tube Evangelist by the name of "Richie from Boston" was entirely false, and that I had more of a chance of dying by not taking it and catching COVID-19. That would kill me for sure. Now I feel I have done my part in bringing an end to this pandemic madness.
  4. You are right as always, Bobby. The decision for Los Angeles was a poor one and uneccessary to boot. Everyone has heard of Anaheim/Orange County and can make the connection to the L.A. Market. I Think Arte is a good man, but he did make a mistake with the name.
  5. It was never needed as most everyone has heard of Anaheim/Orange County and can make the tie to the Los Angeles Market without the L.A. Moniker. It actually ended up doing more harm then good. The Anaheim Ducks have been around maybe 1/3 as long as the The Los Angeles Angels and they have made it to more post seasons and two Stanley Cup Finals. People know the Anaheim Ducks is an L.A. Market Team. People still complain about the name change and I have told Angels Fans who still complain: "If you didn't boycott, don't complain." 6. Our Professional Baseball Team in my city (Colorado Springs, Colorado pictured below) also changed it's name from the Colorado Springs Sky Sox to the Rocky Mountain VIBES. Colorado Springs represents the Pikes Peak Region or the Colorado Springs-Pueblo Media Market. Rocky Mountain, however, represents the Front Range Corridor which includes Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and Cheyenne, Wyoming. In your case, Anaheim represents Orange County which is 3 million people. Los Angeles on the other hand represents pretty much all of Southern California which includes Orange County.
  7. In this case one refers to a media market area, and the other to the team name, and the media market name is in Latin which makes it less redundant, so I'm not to bothered by that. What I believe is this: for an Anaheim Team or Orange County Team, "Los Angeles" isn't needed for people to make the to connection the Los Angeles Media Market. However, Arte thought it was needed. I identify the Anaheim Ducks (NHL) and the Orange County SC (USL) to be a Los Angeles Market Teams.
  8. Sure do. They are all over Facebook. I don't use them.
  9. Never smoked anything in my life, including tobacco. I made that vow early in life when I had asthma.
  10. My comment wasn't about the Dodgers, but Arte's wisdom in keeping Los Angeles off The Angels' Merchandise.
  11. Major League Cities market to entire areas, not just the cities themselves. Of the three Major League Cities, Los Angeles is the only one that markets to ALL of Southern California which is what Arte Moreno wanted to do. San Diego and Anaheim represent much smaller areas within Southern California. Arte also knows that "Los Angeles Angels" still causes hard feelings from the people living in the Anaheim/Orange County Area. I lived most of my life in the AnaheimOrange County Area (now I'm in Colorado Springs which has become my home), and I belong to a Facebook Group called "You Know You Grew Up in Anaheim When...." Naturally, the subject of Angels Baseball comes up a lot on that Facebook Group. Whenever I refer to the team as the "Los Angeles Angels (which is what they are)," in that group, there has been backlashing from other posters. A lot of them start calling Arte Moreno names and other choice words. The people in Anaheim (or people who have lived there) still despise the name "Los Angeles" and Arte Moreno, and they still bad mouth the name. With that, do you think it would be wise for "Los Angeles Angels" to be put on shirts where fans would be walking around the city wearing these shirts among these people? Angels Fans would not be safe walking around the streets of L.A. with "Los Angeles Angels" shirts either, because a lot of the people living in the City of Los Angeles believe there is only ONE Los Angeles Baseball Team--The Dodgers. Arte Moreno knew what he was doing to keep Los Angeles off the team's merchandise, and market the team as "The Angels" or just "Angels."

  13. How about the conspiracy theory that Bill Gates is the antichrist and the upcoming COVID-19 Vaccine is 666? Most conspiracy theories are closer to being true than false (like the election being rigged), but the ones about Bill Gates aren't even close to being true.
  14. "All I Want for Christmas is You." I hear her Christmas Song a lot on iHeart Radio during the Christmas Season. She really butchers "Oh Holy Night" though.
  15. Not hardly. I have been in Colorado the last 10 years. Colorado Springs just opened up an In and Out for the first time.
  16. Not worth my time really. People who make comments like that about others they don't know have enough problems of their own.
  17. I did, but I can't seem to upload the file here. It's on my Facebook Page.
  18. It had been 32 years since The Los Angeles Dodgers last won a World Series Championship. They have made it to the World Series 3 of the last 4 seasons, and Third Time was the charm.
