Why would y'all root against perhaps the best baseball player of all time? Do you not want to see him self actualize all of his potential from a impartial point of view as a baseball fan. He had perhaps his best years with the Halos. I don't think he owed the Angels a damn thing...if the Angels were just flat out a better organization in a better place, than he may have signed with them. The Halos are not that team, just let him go and let him create his legacy. And yes get paid a fuck ton of money....stop hating because he didn't pull a Jered Weaver or Tim Salmon. At this point the Angels need to be developing their own TOR guys. When they get even remotely close to being a playoff team at that point they can sign a guy like Snell.

Snell is a great pitcher, a TOR guy and a great addition for a team that is not the Angels. For the Angels moving forward with the bigger picture in mind, what does he do for this franchise except straddle them with yet another big contract?

The DH by design is flexible, so let's utilize it's flexibility and improve in other areas. Unless you're the Dodgers and can pay your DH 70M a year 10 years from now. If there was ever a team that needs to utilize the flexibility of the DH....it's the 2024 Angels after losing Ohtani.

Good post! But, I'm going to make a slight exaggeration and refer to the 6 DH's already on the team. With all the needs that this team has, I don't think we should be fixated on signing a guy that can only hit to league average from the few of your suggestions. We lost our DH people...let$ not double down on a loss. Trout, POS Rendon, Adell,Ward, Moniak and anyone else that is signed will need AB at DH.

Signing a 200m free agent with question marks is not the answer to the Angels questions.

Trout looks like he is attending a funeral. Rendon looks like he wants to come to the ballpark the next day with a AR and shoot everything.. Maybe he thinks he can hit something.
