Not the way I've viewed malcontents.  Petulant -- maybe.  Aloof, detached, disinterested.  Sure.

I mean they must be doing a great job of keeping his trouble making quiet because despite Sam Blum's hard on for him the only thing he's been guilty of is not giving him the attention he craves.

Fair enough IP, at least u are gracious in your argument.

Would u say that the adjectives that you just used to describe him could be a sign of a malcontent?

Like I said earlier, I don't think anyone really needs any reason to dislike the guy or be frustrated with him, but either I've missed a few things or I've gone my entire life not knowing the definition of a malcontent, because I've yet to see or hear about that sort of behavior attached to Rendon.

You're the bestest poster on this site!!

You see no evidence of Rendon being a malcontent?

Also he’s been injured and he hates the media.

    That's your story bro.

You want people to give Rendon the benefit of the doubt, but you have no tolerance for the doubt that Rendon has created for himself.

You're a poor judge of character.

Like I said I am consistent.  So again, he has been injured and doesn’t like talking to the media.

    Yes!

You are consistently irrational regarding this topic and a few others.

In the face of mounting evidence and consistent reports of this guy being a malcontent.

You will die on this hill in the defense of a perceived ally, who will ultimately betray you.

Yea you see me a mile away.  If he’s hurt like you said, then I’d say he’s hurt. And somehow that is the wrong answer. Let me guess if he’s injured in June I’m supposed to say he’s a lazy, piece of shit that’s stealing money?

For the record I have not used any of those adjectives or described him in those words.

I do question his character, and just don't like him.

But, hell I question your character! Lol

We will see if you respond to this with humor and a good nature or if your character will still be in question with me.

    Now if I was a betting man....well u know.

Because my side says he’s injured. Your side makes him a villain, that hates baseball, is a clubhouse cancer, who fakes injuries, who is lazy and is stealing money.  It’s very simple to be on the right side of this. There’s your Strad answer.

We will revisit in June Strad when he's on the IL again.

    Fair enough?

    Probably not.

    wrong side of this fence.

There was a time, place and a person where we/me would just drag you to the other side of the "fence".

Thankfully as I have grown as a person I have become more accepting and tolerant of differing opinions. It appears that you have not experienced that same kind of growth as a person.

To the contrary, you are probably more set in your ways and less patient of alternate opinions, than you have ever been.

    Good job buddy!

I don't think there's anything he could have said that would have satisfied you.

No! Get on the field and produce!

    Stop being a punk!

If there was ever a case of words being cheap, it's right here.

Can't stand this guys laissez faire appearance, approach, attitude and performance.

At this point his reputation precedes him. A lot of you want to root against Ohtani at this point, but you embrace Rendon?

At this point it's another Vernon Well's to blessed to be stressed and I don't sense any integrity coming from this guy.

I don't like the guy. Period.

So bring on the troll emojis!

Bauer was fingered by three women regarding stepping over the line on his sexual choking fetish, not just the one people seem to be focusing on... The real question is will he continue seeking out consensually choking women unconscious and beating them during sex? It could be what fueled his athletic ability. It's weird and gross TBH. If he had a german shiza fetish would you all be so quick to accept him?

Only missionary for this dude, and then some affectionate cuddling and spooning.

thats weird, i thought arte ignored infrastructural, foundational shit but actually spent for big league stuff.

tbf, if i were an owner, id also try to serve the away team the cheapest shittiest food possible cause who cares, fuck em.

    Classy!

blah blah blah. fuck the doyers and fuck ohtani for choosing the doyers. they can both choke on a bag of dicks.

its cool that some of you weirdos are ok with still slobbing all over ohtani but stop acting like thats the normal position to have.

    The minister of "normal".

Or I think the narrative that they have to “overpay” is really fucking dumb. I can think of twice where they’ve “overpaid”, Syndergaard and GMJ. Now we’ve had some shit contracts but those players got the going rate they just didn’t perform. If we sign Snell or Montgomery they’ll get the going rate based on an inflated market. What you probably won’t hear is the Angels offered more money but they decided to go to “blank”.

I'm not sure, but are you one of the guys that have insinuated that Blarg is out of touch?

Do some of you remember the Shohei Ohtani that played damn near every game the last 2 years in the dog days of late August and all September when some of his teammates decided to shut it down and plan for next season?

The same Shohei who potentially risked his pitching career when he elected to pitch a meaningless game for which he had no reason to pitch in because of his pure competitive nature?

The same Shohei who gave countless Angels fans and their kids memories that they will never forget?

Root for him?  Probably not, because of the team he signed with, but no one in their right mind will be “booing” him in Angels Stadium.  No way, no how.

If some of the posters on this forum attend then he will be booed.

And, I think some will make a point to attend a Dodger game just so they can boo him.

I'm sure Ohtani will understand this and handle it with class, but at the same time there has to be a little part of him that says F you and this is why I didn't sign with the Angels. He will then proceed to hit 2HRs and the Dodgers will win the game.
