If they did something illegal before the video started recording, they should have been arrested or detained not smacked around like a blow up doll.

What does that have to do with anything in my post you quoted? I was just pointing out how pointless local mandates are but you seem to have gotten something else from my post.

That's the problem, lots of people(including Trump and his stooges) want everything to open but no plan on how to do it safely. The best plan to open up the economy, schools and anything else is to control the spread of the virus and lower the cases counts, not to just ignore it. Lots of countries have cases in the hundreds and are opening up.

So what happens when those that don't care to wear a mask go to the next city over hang out with others who aren't wearing masks when no mandated and bring the virus to their city that mandates a mask. Kind off defeats the purpose of the mask mandate in 1 city and not in another city 15 minutes away.

I mean based on that outlined plan above, a student would get only 40 minutes of class time a week, having to wear a mask, no group projects, sitting 6 feet away from everyone. Is that 40 minutes a week really worth the risk?

Volunteer to become a replacement teacher, because there will definitely be a shortage. You can make their salary Grocery stores, at least the one I go to, have a partition and people are required to wear masks and keep 6 feet away from grocery workers working behind that partition. Unless you are ok with your kids teachers staying behind a wall sized partition all day(like a grocery store) and not get closer than 6 feet to your kids, and your kids being sent home if they don't wear their mask(like they would at a grocery store) I wouldn't compare a grocery store worker with a teacher.

You are underestimating how many teachers will need to be replaced due to being high risk, elderly, or having high risk or elderly at home. Schools are overcrowded and short of teachers as it is. Now they will have to social distance, meaning class size cut at least by half so 2x more teachers will be needed in an already short staffed field. Are you willing to volunteer as a replacement?

Yes I have stated this before but many other countries have controlled the virus and have started opening up schools. All those countries Donny tweeted about in his rant such as Germany, Sweden and a couple others he mentioned. What he failed to point out was those counties had a total daily case count of like 500 combined and a population of 100 million.
