I don’t mind Rengifo batting 2nd really. They need to give guys like him chances and make them feel comfortable. He’s going to be the starting SS next year most likely Him playing RF is a serious wtf move though. It’s very strange that we had Minasian say how important run prevention is this past offseason and now we’re seeing crap like this. There seems to be a serious disconnect

Feels weird for me to say this because I’m usually the resident doom and gloom guy but… Im actually pretty encouraged by this season. Walsh is legit, Ward is proving to be a major leaguer Ohtani and Trout are superstars. stassi is a bonafide above avg starting catcher and the best one we’ve had since Napoli. The offense is not at all concerning to me moving into next season overall We knew the pitching was going to suck going in. Minasian has a ton of work to do there but it’s not an impossible fix. The big concern past the pitching is Rendon right now. What is going on with him and can he rebound? I think he can but it’s becoming very concerning the amount of money tied up in him

Kevin Durant had a strained calf before he ruptured his Achilles. You don’t fuck around with that injury and rush back. it sucks to see Lagares flail out there, but they’re doing the right thing. Really, the disappointing thing is that Adell/Marsh aren’t ready to be contributors

I’m probably going to end up disappointed but I actually think they have a pretty decent chance of making the playoffs. They need to add a bullpen piece at the deadline and Rendon needs to hit Everything else is kind of coming together finally. We finally have new blood coming up and playing well for the first time in years

Ward is a massive upgrade over Pujols getting at bats. Can run the bases, can defend a little. I think he has some potential to get a bit better offensively. I’m hoping for a 115 OPS+ out of him eventually

A great win. Our catcher situation is such an pleasant surprise. It’s nice having 2 catchers who can actually hit. Excited for Stassi and Rendon to ge healthy

I’m not going to say anyone’s passed him until I see it for 140+ games. What Soto did last year was have a hot 47 games. Great player but insanely tough to hit like that for 162

Upton ain’t going anywhere. Having him on the roster as a part time player is probably okay I guess. Although his contract sucks. The issue is compounded by the fact that we also have Pujols and Ohtani. 3 guys that are essentially DH only. That’s 12% of the 25 man roster that is extremely limited. Based on that, Minasian has his hands full if he actually is going to commit to run prevention defensively. It’s not going to happen with Upton in left full time
