There could be several reasons for this. One of course is the possibility of terrorist attack or a repeat of the Aurora theater shooting. That reminds me one time at work I was in the stall taking care of business and a guy came in to use the urinal. Just as he unzipped I let out a seismic boom that lifted me off the seat at least three feet. The guy zipped up immediately and ran out of the bathroom. I couldn't stop laughing after that.
