  1. Ohhhh, then he's clearly an idiot. Fucking burn him to the ground. Yeaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!
  2. It truly seems like some oddly personal thing you have against him. It's weird.
  3. Tone it down, man. Disagree with his style if you want, but you act like he killed your dog.
  4. What's the problem here? I tend to agree that it's odd that Moreno has been silent for so long.
  5. Again, you seem to simply be unable to understand that Moreno and/or the front office don't CARE who will be available to manage. It does not make business sense to bring in another manager with the impending sale looming over the franchise. Period. I don't think many people here believe Nevin to be some magical savior or some brilliant tactician--but he's a guy who's familiar with the players who'll be back next year and he's not going to rock the boat. From a business standpoint, that's what you want heading into an uncertain season. If the new owner wants to clean house, it's easier to do now with Nevin only on a one-year deal. And, hey, if the team plays well next year and the players seem to like Nevin--great! The new owner can always extend him.
  6. I still find it odd that Bally Sports West and some of the Angels-affiliated Twitter accounts are pushing this "most HR in under 120 games" "record" nonsense. It might be interesting if we're talking about a rookie who gets called up midseason or something--but why are we supposed to be impressed or celebrate an injury-shortened season? Trout's good! We know that. I'm glad he has a bunch of HR this year, including that absolute monster he just hit. But I'm not sure why I should care where he ranks on the under-120-games list.
  7. I think you're misunderstanding. Of course I don't like seeing the Angels lose every year. But, again, who really gives a shit what happens in this game? Neither team is going to the playoffs. It literally doesn't matter. Trout just crushed a HR and Ohtani pitched very well again. That's pretty much all you should hope for in game 162 of a disastrous season. I'm not sure why you'd expect more.
  8. Are you just having a bad day? Sorry if you're struggling, dude. It's game 162 and everyone is sort of fucking around at this point, it seems like. Don't take anything that happens in this game too seriously.
  9. ...plus at least $3M more beyond that ($1.5M buyouts for '26 and '27). As I mentioned in another thread, I don't think he has much trade value at all after the past couple years, especially as a standalone piece.
  10. Because they're playing on the road in a shitty stadium with about 5,000 people in the stands against a terrible team, at the end of a horribly disappointing season and complete uncertainty surrounding the future of the team. Or do you mean other than that?
  11. I think that might be taking it too far. It's possible that they did, but I will continue to say that Nevin being retained for next year is simply the most logical and easiest decision to make from a business standpoint, given that Moreno is selling the team. I think, at most, you can maybe take this as a sign that Nevin and Minasian don't hate each other, but reading anything more into it in terms of how they function together probably isn't that wise.
  12. I am sure that we will not see them go that route.
