  1. Even if he does come back this year and play pretty well, I still doubt there would be much demand for him at $7M (really, $7.5M, because there's a $500K buyout or $7.5M due in '25) unless he was part of a package.
  2. Is anyone else having issues accessing Spectrum through wifi/internet? I can't get anything to load on their app on Apple TV or going through their website. I'm stuck listening to AM 830.
  3. To be clear, it's not definitive that his issues are related to having Covid multiple times. It's speculation from Walsh and his doctors since there hasn't been any other clear finding regarding what's causing it.
  4. I understand why they called him up vs a prospect. My point was I'm truly baffled by why he's on anyone's roster, whether major or minor league.
  5. Btw, I think I now see what @Taylor was talking about regarding the appearance of your gifs. On my phone, this one is shooting off the right side of the page for some reason.
  6. Haven't seen anything that mentioned his vax status. The article I posted mentioned that he got Covid three separate times.
  7. Valdez isn't on the 40-man, so I assume they're moving Warren to the 60-day IL to create room. Truly don't understand why Valdez still has a career.

  9. Only 6 of the 26 insiders predicted which team he'd end up with and none suggested the Angels. The others said it was too early to tell. Here's an excerpt that covers the predictions for the length and dollar amount of his deal: "The 26 predictions ranged from as short as four years, in an attempt to maximize average annual value, to as long as 13 years, with the total payout ranging from $240 million over those four years to a whopping $605 million. Since the three shorter AAV-friendly deals are really a different type of contract that skews the results a bit, let's focus first on the 23 answers that were nine years or longer. These are the averages from that group: Years: 11.0 Total guarantee: $524.3 million AAV: $47.5 million On the high end, two deals guaranteed Ohtani both $600 million total and an average annual value of $50 million: 11 years, $605 million ($55M AAV); and 12 years, $600 million ($50M AAV). Three of the 23 were for less than $500 million, but only one came in under $475 million, and the longest deal (13 years, $475 million) was a bit of an outlier at just $36.5 million in annual value."
  10. Got it. So you didn't read the article and you don't know what you're talking about. Cool.
