  1. There is a city outside of Seattle named Leavenworth that has a Oktoberfest festival. Anybody ever been? Its supposed to be fairly popular.
  2. I don't have any warning points. I am doing a great job.
  3. All the others are taking it in stride because they only got 50 game suspensions. How Braun only got 60 something is beyond me.
  4. I would rather see Shuck against lefties than Cogwill
  5. I thought two weeks would let me see a lot. I know I would not be able to do everything but hopefully a lot
  6. How is his career ERA aided by his one start this year. One start does nothing to a career ERA.
  7. Seller was unwilling to do repairs as we requested. We wanted somebody who was licensed and bonded and guarantees their work to fix the leak and any problems caused by it. The seller said she thought her "handyman" already fixed and was going to send him back to fix it. She wasn't going to pay for a professional person to come in. She also said she would not fix the wood rot in the back.
  8. Sure Billingsly has not lived up to his front line staff ace potential, but he has had a sub 4 ERA in 6 of his 8 big league years. The two times he went over his ERA was 4.03 and 4.21. His career ERA is 3.65. He would make every pitching staff in baseball better.
  9. I have been wanting to do this for a while. I majored in history in college and I love the old west. I have been doing write ups on a bunch of historical sites in California and Nevada. I want to visit Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado this summer. I am actually hoping to compile everything and turn it into a book. Or at the very least make a website
  10. I heard the last guy that stayed with Chuck had to change the locks on the bedroom door because the door always opened up and he heard heavy breathing Plus the sheets were stained
  11. We decided to get out of it. A little bummed out but better now than later.
  12. Yes precious is with the big fat person. We need to talk about Kevin sure does make me think about it a lot. It is almost a nature vs nurture debate. I want to read the book now.
  13. Well it was an interesting walk through. There is rotted wood in the back of the house that needs to be replaced. Just one column, but its underneath a deck. The biggest thing is we found out the upstairs bathrooms are leaking water. The two bathrooms upstairs are right next to each other. The downtown stairs living room looked like the ceiling was replaced recently. We turned on the water upstairs and we noticed a small crack on the ceiling got bigger and water started dripping out of it. The inspector believes there is mold where the water is leaking. The inspector used a device to measure water before we turned the water on. The device said it was dry and no water. When we turned the water on upstairs, the device was picking up water all over the place. So the ceiling must be somewhat tilted, causing a little stream to where the water is exiting. On the selling information where the owner checks yes or no for known water leaks, it was conveniently left blank. The inspector also found that one of the bathrooms upstairs has water underneath, possible going to the leak downstairs. There is a lot of water right next to the tub. She said it could be expensive to fix. There was other minor things wrong. Nothing else to worry about other than the furnace. The furnace is the original one with the house from 1984. It is very rusted in some spots. The flame is also bigger than its supposed to be and has color in it, which I guess it is not supposed to. The inspector said it is called incomplete combustion from condensation being in it. So my wife and I have some stuff to think about.
  14. Jeter was great last year when healthy. Arod is playing well now.
  15. Will do, I printed a large checklist of information from some websites as well. We got an inspector that comes highly recommended and after shopping around she is one of the few who said she will go in the attic, on the roof and also check the chimney.
  16. I saw precious on tv last night. The acting was great and it was a very depressing movie. In fact I thought it was one of the more depressing movies I have seen recently until today. Today a movie named "We Need to talk About Kevin" was on. It is with Tilda Swilton (spelling?) and John C. Reilly. Very scary movie. You know what is going to happen, as it implies it in the begginning. But the story of how it gets there and the development of "Kevin" is flat out frightening. This has to be every parents worst nightmare. I highly recommend it, but this movie truly does not have a single bright spot so be prepared.
  17. Got it thanks. This house does not have an AC, as very few in Washington do so I will not have to worry about that thankfully.
  18. I guess it would be one year insurance, not a warranty. It has nothing to do with the seller. We would still have a deductible if something went wrong with the water heater or something like that.
  19. We have the loan through USAA and they provide the appraiser.
  20. We might include that. We can get a 1 year warranty for around $400. If we find some stuff wrong we will try to get the seller to include it. The warranty does not include the roof. The house built in 1984. We have not found out yet if the seller has replace the roof while they lived there.
  21. We are responsible for everything top to bottom. HOA does not cover roof or exterier. HOA only covers people mowing the grounds and general yard maintenance. The HOA is only 75 a month, obviously because it does not cover anything.
  22. Has anybody ever visited any of the Indian ruins in the southwestern states? I have always wanted to go and I am thinking about doing a week or two road trip this summer to visit some places.
