i definitely prefer the Trout from 2012 . I hope that he will bring back the speed and play the game the way he did back then. It was so much more exciting. He made more contact and used all of his skills better. I will take the 2012 Trout over the 2014 Trout every day of the year.

People need to remember that there is no reason to dislike him PERSONALLY. You may dislike his performance for our team, but has he kicked your dog? We need to not make it so personal.

Yep. The truth is that there are 10 playoff teams at the start and when its all said and done 9 of them will lose their last game. Only one team will get to hoist that trophy, that is why its so damn hard and special. I just hate that we completely didn't show up in this series.

Unfortunately our team is not built for the playoffs. We don't handle pressure well at all and the injuries to the pitching staff have hurt. Although I still think that we would have lost because of our M.I.A. offense. Glad Trout got his first post season hit in a big way. Looking forward to what Dipoto has up his sleeve this offseason. Maybe he can trade away Hammy, wilson or Pujols. Speaking of the two ex Rangers, did the Rangers get the last laugh or what. It's like having double agents on your team. @stradling your right Trout has been underpaid but that isn't the point of this thread and doesn't undo 2 huge mistakes made by our front office. Wouldn't we be better off without having signed both aging and declining players for 100s of millions of dollars. Trout has definitely been a Godsend, but we now will be held back for years by these 2 anchors. There will be a cost for the huge mistakes we made in not having the financial flexibility that we will need to make some smart moves that will be needed to fill holes to make us a championship caliber team. Any blessing for the amazing value we have gotten for Trout has been erased by the curse of those 2 overpaid and decling players.

Well we don't have to be the dummies signing these free agents. Notice how the smart teams aren't afraid to let HOF players walk and still remain competitive.

One thing that is pretty obvious is that Albert is not going to be PLAYING for us 7 more YEARS, we're just going to be PAYING him for 7 more years.

Isn't it sooooooooooo much fun rewarding players for all their hard work and accomplishments. I mean it's only FAIR. They should definitely get paid for what they have done. I think it's good that we are here to help them with all the costs of retirement and all. This is just such a grand time.

Well the Kings came back from a 3-0 deficit against the Sharks. So anything is possible. Unlikely but possible. We have to steal game 3 and get it to 4. If we were to steal 4 then we would be right back here in Anaheim with a chance to do the unlikely. Key word unlikely. This team doesn't appear to have the heart of my Kings.

I am still a Trout fan but it is what it is. He is a below average player currently. I believe the will recover it just wont be this season. The pitchers have adjusted to him. He has been figured out. He has to adjust to the pitchers now in order to turn it around.

Agreed. Ironically he will win it when he doesn't really deserve it for his horrible 2nd half performance and he never won it in the years he should have.

I am actually kinda relieved. I didn't want to see that happen in the 16th inning. Its 1 am out here in Florida. I am really impressed with the Royals. They just might be the 2002 Angels. Great team. Firing on all cylinders. This series is over. Guaranteed.
