  1. Yep those were not good signings. 10 years for a nice guy who is in his 30's and past his prime. I am not as smart as those gm's but I knew how that was going to turn out. We rewarded pujols for all he did for St Louis. He is being paid for past accomplishments of his prime years. There is no way he can live up to the cost of that contract. Arte had to have been wasted when he gave him that. And CJ?! Wow. No wonder Texas was happy we signed him.
  2. Never was excited about the CJ signing. Thought he was average. Now I don't even think he is average. Vinny to replace CJ? Just kidding. Seriously CJ is a #5 starter at best.
  3. I don't believe that is true, but I am too lazy to do the research. It's almost 2am out here. Unless I am crazy, I though he had been there a month or so ago. Anyways who would play 3b on our roster that would be better and maintain .251 batting average?
  4. But with who? Who is major league ready for 3b that can hit around .275?
  5. Agreed and neither do I. That was a tough bang bang play. It should be made by major leaguers but I don't believe it was error worthy.
  6. I guess no matter what, Freese is the fall guy around here. Look at times he is frustrating, but I believe he has greatly improved as the season has progressed. He does make some bad plays like the bad throw that earlier in the game but the last play was not on him. He clearly bare handed a bouncing ball in a clutch situation and made a throw that should have led to an out at the plate. Iannetta didn't make the play on his end. It happens. We won't win every day but we are having a remarkable season and Iannetta and Freese have both been a part of it.
  7. It was bare handed. He got rid of it as quickly as a man can.
  8. Hate to say it but we have some really questionable infield defense. That last play has to be made. 2 runs that shouldn't have happened tonight.
  9. That was an awful play by freese followed up by an awful play by Howie. There is no excuse for that throw by ianetta to get by Howie. Bad throw but we are taking about a professional 2nd baseman allowing a ball to hop over his glove. Shame.
  10. Not the prettiest save, but it ended up with a happy ending. Street was having trouble from the get go with his command. Almost cost us a win. Instead its light up the halo!
  11. Exactly. And here comes Jones again. Arrgh.
  12. Wow. Trout just looks so lost up there. Its like hes not seeing the ball. Took another first pitch fastball right down the middle and took a 3rd pitch called strike. I am in shock. What has happened to him?
  13. Yeah I just released his sorry butt from my fantasy team. He was my #1 pick LOL.
  14. Yeah I know. Didn't get to fix it fast enough.
  15. Good news. We escaped the 8th. Bad news. Angels Killer Adam Jones will lead off the 9th. Lets hope we score 2 here.
  16. I was going to go to a game. Glad that I am unable to make the 3 hour trek across Florida to watch this carnival. This is about as bad as they played all season. Thankfully it should hopefully be out of their system by the time the playoffs roll around.
  17. That's what I said to my son. It likely will be a home run in that little league sized park they play in.
  18. Seems about right. Every time I put them on, watching paint dry has been more exciting.
  19. Best pitcher in baseball and one of the best humans too. Not a Dodger fan, not a hater either. Very easy to appreciate Clayton the pitcher and Clayton the human who has positively touched lives all over the world with his wife. Congrats Clayton! Wish you were an Angel.
  20. I don't know. Its kinda hard to see anything good right now. Nights like this, taint it.
  21. Dipoto seems to have done a good job building a starting staff. Its the blowpen.
  22. Holy Poo. I didnt get to see the game since I was at school tonight. I did get to see one pitch though. You can only imagine which one that was. LOL. Anyways, took a look at the scoring summary and see that on the night we could finally go over .500 with a fairly comfortable 4-1 lead in the 9th, the bullpen (Frieri with a little help from his buddy Salas) pulled out a big can of kerosene and had the balls to juggle a flaming lighter too. Needless to say it didn't work out. Kind of like those patients who smoke cigarettes while on O2 nasal canula @ 2 Lpm and decide to light one up. Not good.
  23. There is one reason why we wont be in the postseason. Its the bully. One of the worst Angel bullpens of all time.
