  1. I always enjoyed watching Barry Bonds play baseball. He was my favorite non-angel going all the way back to his Pittsburgh days playing with Bonilla. From 1990 thru 1992 they made it to the NLCS and lost all 3 times. That was a fun team to watch. I always liked their manager Jim Leyland. I never was a Bonds hater. BTW in 1992 they blew a 2-0 lead over the Braves in the bottom of the 9th and lost game 7, 3-2. It's sad that steroids has stolen so much from him. He truly was one of the best ever even without steroids.
  2. Yep. But it's always somebody. If it wasn't Alvarez, someone else would have taken a giant dump on the mound.
  3. We have had several chances to get the big hit and score more runs and have failed every time. This team isn't clutch. I hope they can somehow win but honestly I am expecting another heart breaking loss. Surprise me guys.
  4. At the happiest place on earth, Disney World Florida. This game is not making me very happy. So frustrating to watch an amazing start by Shohei being wasted.
  5. How was that not a strike out? Looked like a swing and miss to me.
  6. Ohtani dealing like he wants to win the Cy Young. Definitely talented enough to do that someday.
  7. Only 58 pitches thrown and 9 K's for Shoehei. Amazing!!! What a amazing player.
  8. Does anyone remember the 2002 Angels, especially in the postseason, with RISP? I'm afraid that this is the other side of the coin. It's torture to watch. 2002 team was so clutch.
  9. It seems that Kole might finally be turning it around. The time off was a good decision by Scioscia.
  10. Nice job Cole. You did your job. Cole has hit the ball hard twice this game. Hopefully that's a sign of him turning it around.
  11. Kinsler is finally waking up. Maybe moving down in the lineup was a good thing. Do not hit into a double play cole!
  12. Yeah that's what we wanted but it was obvious that it wasn't going to happen. So there was no choice but to pull him. 6 innings would have been nice though. Just wasn't meant to be. Now we have a tie game. Hopefully our offense gets cranking again.
  13. So you disagree? It wasn't obvious that he should have been pulled earlier. Ok. Agree to disagree.
  14. That is on Scioscia. Garrett pitched a good game but it was obvious during the inning he was done. I was talking to the TV telling Scioscia to pull him before he coughed up most of the lead. Instead he calmly walks out after the 3 run HR that shouldn't have happened. Why Scioscia, Why?
  15. Shohei without a doubt because of his versatility. Plus Shohei is already producing at the MLB level. Some of those other guys are great young talents as well though.
  16. LMAO at the "more like porcelain" comment. But in the 30+ years I have watched baseball, I don't recall a team with more arm injuries and Tommy John surgeries in such a short time. And yes I am old enough to say that I actually witnessed Tommy John on a major league mound, and specifically the mound in Anaheim for about 3 years. Let's all just pray that Shohei can stay healthy because he's really good at baseball and makes our team much more dangerous whether he's on the mound or in the batter's box. I will trust Scioscia and Eppler to make the calls as to how and when they want to utilize the Japanese Babe Ruth.
  17. Congratulations on your great accomplishment Albert! 3000 hits and 600+ home runs is no small feat. Enjoy this accomplishment. Next stop is Cooperstown.
  18. More of the same old. What an embarrassing home stand by the Angels.
  19. Pujols was already out when I posted this and besides who cares if he's up anyways? They need to be more unpredictable. It's okay to try from time to time and keep the opponents honest.
  20. Right down the middle and he steps towards first base like it should be a walk. Lol
  21. Why won't Trout steal anymore? We need that threat in our lineup badly. Very disappointing to watch this speed wasted.
  22. The Royals are loaded with arms. It is very discouraging to watch them whoop our you know what's every game
