  1.

ate at the one in corona tonight (15 and ontario)

Ha, I was there a few hours ago. Still burping the onion.

That one, the Serfas Club one (wish they still had dual drive thru lanes) and the Anaheim Hills location are my primaries.

As a kid I went to the chapman/state college location (no drive thru).

I've been to McDonald's, Wendy's, Jack in the Box and Taco Bell probably fewer than 15 times combined in my life. I don't get rolling the dice at a place like that when there are better options. Consistency and freshness are the main reasons why In-N-Out is so successful IMO. I wish they could do grass-fed beef instead (there is a noticeable difference) but that would probably kick the price up a couple dollars.

  2. Tons of great shows have been listed already, but I'll throw some love to one of my favorites.

    Veronica Mars

It stars a young Kristen Bell playing a high school student with a gift for solving mysteries.

She was in a couple episodes of Deadwood also. Her role was... memorable. She fed some of Wu's pigs.

I'll also mention Northern Exposure. Really good show from a long time ago. The first two season of Alias were very fun too.

  3. An interesting story.

New programs are burned onto EPROMs by the manufacturer and shipped in the mail in plastic tubes.

As an undergrad, I had to put the EPROM chip under an ultraviolet lamp for about 15 minutes to erase it. Archaic and annoying. The smallest programming error... another 15 minutes.

and prosecutors hit him with 698 felony counts, ranging from theft to criminal conspiracy.

Laugh. Just think up any imaginable charge and stick him with it. Such ethical conduct from prosecutors. The vast majority of people when threatened with the possibility of decades in prison from drummed up charges will cop a plea deal. Now that is some real gambling.

"97 percent of federal cases and 94 percent of state cases end in plea bargains"

That sounds like justice to me. /s

I wonder how many thousands or tens of thousands of people are sitting in prison now because they were terrorized into accepting a plea deal. Cui Bono? The prosecutors who get another notch on their political belt and the Prison Industrial complex. Not you or I who pay for their incarceration.

Nestor says the Meadows still has his winnings, and the IRS is chasing him for $239,861.04 in back taxes, interest, and penalties—money he doesn't have.

Ha. One mafia stole his winnings while the real mafia demands its cut too.

  4. Hamilton was my least favorite MLB player before he got here and nothing has changed.

He signs the contract then immediately shows up skinny as hell from some absurd "juice" diet. The next season in the ninth game he slides headfirst into 1st base with some faux hustle and then vows to do it again? That, combined with his "blindfolded kid trying to hit a pinata" at-bats has me completely out of patience with his BS.

CJ is ineffective but at least he cared enough to pitch through pain in 2012 with bone spurs in his elbow. He pitched well in '13 and early '14 before being ridden onto the ground (led MLB in pitches thrown) earlier in the year. I wouldn't be shocked if he's been pitching through some injury again.

Disar was my previous "least favorite"  but at least he never stole his contract.

  5. Who here has a hole in one?

Par 3 courses and x amount of mulligans don't count.

I have two. First one was on the 1st hole at Ironwood. 111 yards,

Next was 12th at Willowick. 157 yards.

Ironwood is a pitch and putt (two 4-pars) but the ace still counts.

My grandfather played for 50 years without getting one but he saw both of mine.

I saw my brother knock it in from 211 yards but it was technically his 3rd shot (tee shot duck hooked into the woods). Nice par.
