    I don’t think he’ll still be on the restricted list next year. I think he’ll either be playing or he’ll retire. If he is, then they would just pay him when he’s active.

    @AngelStew43 is correct. You guys are both saying the same thing. He can reject the assignment but he won’t because he’d be forfeiting his contract. Once he gets to 5 years (which he won’t this year), he can reject it and keep the contract.

    It was before my time, but I always had been led to believe 1999 was the worst. Wasn’t there basically a player mutiny that forced Terry Collins to quit? Hard to top that.

    I think Trout wants to stay based solely on his own situation. And the Angels also aren’t going a full rebuild.

    I think they really want to load up O’Hoppe’s games since he missed so much time. Every pitch he calls in the big leagues teaches him something, and hes got a lot of catching up to do. I think Thaiss is supposed to start at catcher once more. And I think Cron is DHing tomorrow. We talked about this today because of my 7-1st-round-pick lineup I wanted Nevin to use.

    I’m saying that the majority of players who are over 30 are going to get worse. And some of the guys you mentioned are 33 or 34.
