i love going to the games and getting could balls, having players toss balls up to the kids. Autographs before the game. The closeness of the game. I have set behind home plate and I don't like watching the game from behind the net. I choose to sit between home plate and third where there is no net. If this was such a concern I can't figure out why these seats in every ballpark are not empty. Why do you have to place a net in front of me, take away the chance for my grandkids to get balls and autographs because you live your life in fear.

You still have not explained why I need a net in front of me when I purchase a ticket knowing that I could be hit by a foul ball or bat leaving the field of play. I understand the danger and I accept that when I lay down my money and say yes, I want to sit there. If I don't I can buy a ticket on the club or view level where it's a little safer, and cost less money.

It's actually nice to see somebody show some type of emotion on this team. You just got your ass kicked for the 2nd night in a row, there should be a lot of pissed off people in that clubhouse.

I bring my grandkids to games all the time. NO I would not seek damages. I think it's insane that people don't take responsibility for themselves. Am I being forced to sit in those seats? Did I have a gun pointed at my head to purchase seats in what could be considered a 'Hot Zone" for foul balls or parts of bats? Everybody wants to live inside this perfect little bubble that nobody gets hurt or dies. If you live by this theory you would never leave your house. I'm more worried about the idiot parent that has a little kid in his arms and almost drops the did to catch a foul ball or home run

You still don't get it. People choose to buy those seats, they know foul balls are hit, and they may get hit. They still buy the tickets. It's an acceptable risk they choose to take. I don't need somebody else to decide they need to make my world safer for me.

But every fan that purchases a ticket and chooses to sit in the seat has accepted those risks by purchasing a ticket in that area. It's like going to Sea World, you might get wet if you sit in this section. It's your CHOICE.

When will they demand that the pitcher wear a helmet with face mask to protect them. To me, every pitcher that takes the mound is in more danger than I am sitting in the stands.

How many millions attend games each year?

When you buy seats on the lower level you know the risks involved. I am so tired of everybody trying to create this safe little world to live in. Maybe you should stay home and watch the game from the safety of your living room. Your more likely to be injured on the way to the game than sitting in the stands. If your worried about buy seats in the upper levels.

Good article. Often wonder what would of been if they would of left Mike in that game against Boston and not brought in Donny Moore. How different Angels history may have been, and how Donny's life might have been. Glad to see Mike being recognized tonight for a great Angel career.

Can't disagree more JoJo26. Once the player puts on an Angel uniform they are an Angel, don't care where they played before. Bobby Grich, Don Baylor, Joe Rudi Tori Hunter, Mark Langston, There have been bad moves made by this team in free agency but some of the best players to wear an Angel uniform have come via free agency.

and losing 2 out of 3 to the Rangers at home?

Need somebody that can hit the damn ball and score some runs. The last two weeks have been brutal.

How about losing 6 out of 7. Losing is one thing, but the last 3 games were ugly.

Losing is part of baseball, it's just that when the Angels lose it's ugly, I almost can't watch games when Wilson pitches. His deep counts and failure to close out an inning is beyond frustrating. The Angels inability to find a quality LF MS's stubbornness to keep playing Joyce add to the frustrations.

What does this mean? Because you have done better than expected you should not get your ass chewed when you do something stupid?

Problem with today world, nobody is held accountable. Everybody makes excuses for people that have problems. The Angels pay good money to Josh to play a game, I don't have a problem with them expecting him to mentally and physically ready to do his job. We are not talking a first time offender. Hold him responsible for his actions.
