    He's starting to look a little fat to me; we should probably trade him for a couple prospects while he's still worth something, or he flees to the Phillies or Mets so he has a legit chance of experiencing the playoffs. . .

    Since getting rid of Frieri, this team as played as well as any Angel team I can remember. And for an organization that supposedly had such a barren farm system, we seem to be getting a lot of key help from the young guys, We just need to keep grinding, run down Oakland, and avoid the one-game playoff. Go Halos!

    I just hated Blanton more than Ernesto. At least with Ernesto, he might not come in and he might hold a lead. . Blanton was an auto loss.

    Oh yeah. . . Kazmir was a disaster. But not as bad as Blanton.

    We're not so much a great team, it's that aside from Oakland every other team in the AL is mediocre. We'll make the playoffs; I just have little confidence at this point we'll do anything once we're in.

    Actually, I think we're a lock to make that stupid one game wild-card playoff. We need to run down Oakland and avoid that.

    Ernesto doesn't put himself in the game. . . can't even blame Scioscia since he was at Bob Welch's funeral. Blame Butcher I guess. . whoever, Frieri should never see work in a 9th inning ever again.
