    Because the pitchers spot was due to lead off the next inning. If Frieri gets in trouble (which is very possible) you bring in Richards and then have to pinch hit for him in the next inning losing both pitchers in the process. The double switch is so that Richards can pitch more than 1 inning (if necessary) because he's replacing Howie who was the last batter.

    1 draft isnt going to restock shit. You have to have at least 3 or 4 drafts to replenish the minors. You can have a firesale, but most of the big contracts have a no-trade clause.(cough ......CJ..cough) wtf Depoto. .

    I like it because the bullpen is severely depleted and Richards has proven he can come into high leverage situations.

    I like Scioacia and dont think every loss is his fault. However, this not making the playoffs crap has got to stop, especially with this payroll. I think he has until the end of the season to turn it around. I think he will.
