  1. Not at all saying I don't want him. If someone can guarantee me there is plenty of money for Trout in the future than I'm all for it.
  2. Like I said. I'm not looking for a guy to replace Weav as the ace. I'd rather pay Garza, stay under the luxury tax, and have the money for when we need it with Trout.
  3. I would hope you're suggesting Garza too. Tanaka isn't worth the money to me.
  4. Who do we go after? With Tanaka most likely being posted, it makes Garza a little easier to get, but on the other hand, is the high risk high reward on Tanaka worth it? I would say that we be content with Garza and go after him. We aren't looking for an ace, we're looking for a #3 guy, which is exactly what Garza is. Thoughts?
  5. With the DH problem solved, which pitcher will the Angels look to sign?
  6. Tanaka is in a whole other league than Matsuzaka IMO. I see Tanaka as a can't miss guy who may be even better than Darvish. Time will tell though.
  7. 1. Weaver 2. Wilson 3. Santiago 5. Richards 5. Skaggs We actually have a rotation now. However, we need someone like Garza who is proven. Any ideas on who the hitter we will go after will be?
  8. All cost too much. Need to get Garza before anything else is done.
  9. Explain your reasoning behind this statement? Was second on the team in Runs Created.
  10. Buster Olney tweet-"Asked three execs today to speculate on where David Price would land -- speculate, mind you -- and they all guessed: Seattle." This could make the AL West even more interesting. Thoughts?
  11. Archie Bradley is the #2 pitching prospect in baseball in the Diamondback organization. 21 years old with a career ERA of 2.76. He was 12-5 with a 1.97 ERA in AA last year. Potential Ace.
  12. If Trumbo is traded, is Cron ready to step in as a DH/1B?
  13. Completely overlooked Miley. Would be an solid trade IMO
  14. I'd also trade Aybar before Howie, but which team has a demand for a SS?
  15. If we had to give up one this week at the Winter Meetings who would it be? Who is more valuable? A trade option for each: Mark Trumbo to Arizona for Archie Bradley Howie Kendrick to Detroit for Rick Porcello What's the best option? Obviously something needs to happen this week.
  16. What is truly the difference between 78 and 90 wins? I am certain we had 12 loses by 1 run last season. The questions comes down to, how can we turn these 1 run loses into wins? The simple answer is better pitching, starting and bullpen. Our offense won us enough games last year to keep from turning into the Astros. We need two durable Starters.
  17. I am sure everyone realizes this, but the Angels are truly 2 quality starting pitchers away from possibly living up to the hype of the past two off seasons. All it takes is TWO and we have ourselves a quality ball club. Jerry and Arte need to get it done, plain and simple.
  18. My mistake. Thanks for the correction!
  19. Highly unlikely this happens. But I guess never doubt Jerry.
  20. With what we have right now, I am not sure what the lineup would look like. I want Calhoun in RF, but we need a lead off hitter in Shuck in the lineup. Here is what I could see a lineup being with what we have right now. 1. Shuck LF 2. Kendrick 2B 3. Trout CF 4. Trumbo DH 5. Pujols 1B 6. Hamilton RF 7. Freese 3B 8. Conger/Iannetta C 9. Aybar SS OR 1. Aybar SS 2. Kendrick 2B 3. Trout CF 4. Trumbo DH 5. Pujols 1B 6. Hamilton LF 7. Freese 3B 8. Conger/Iannetta C 9. Calhoun RF Kind of lost, so any thoughts?
  21. Awesome for Jason, but Jerry better start putting the pieces together soon.
