  1. That's cool. Just know that I'll get a hearty chuckle whenever I look at the boxscores for the next 10 years.
  2. This is the first time I've seen that his winning personality has shone through to the halos fans! Maybe you'll see why we're so "butt hurt" toward him after he sucks your season into a back hole, tells you how much smarter he his than you are, and that the Lord is the only person who can judge him. Because those of you who are worried about results just don't "get it"...you aren't true baseball fans.
  3. No this one: http://www.popcrunch.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/josh-hamilton-drunk-500x375.jpg
  4. The three players are completely different animals. Pujols is one of the best hitters ever but he's old and he's in extreme pain. His legs are a total mess. Trout is a very young kid. If he hadn't been so shockingly good last year, nobody would be 'worried' about his performance so far this year. I think he'll be fine after he adapts to the adjustments opposing pitchers have made to him. The sophomore swoon is a common thing, and I think he just needs to fight through it and he'll be fine. Hamilton is a complete basket case. He's one of the dumbest players in professional sports and has never worked at his craft. Now that a severe weakness has been found in his game it's being exploited and he has no idea how to adjust. ...he may not have it in him to ever adjust.
  5. There's absolutely nobody in the Angels organization (other than Hamilton himself) who is responsible for his lack of plate discipline.
  6. Last year with the Rangers he had the following excuses: He quit using tobacco. He had been drinking too many energy drinks He had blue eyes His eyes were excessively dry 'going through something' (mystery problem). Later he said this mystery problem had been quitting tabacco, but it's uncertain whether that's true or not. It seemed like a family issue (which wouldn't have been a surprise considering his recurring coital activities in bar toilets). He even said 'come on guys, it's me, it's always going to be something weird'. Now his problem at the plate is that he doesn't have the discipline to adjust to the book on him (busting him down and away). He has thrived on his natural ability all of his life and never learned to study the game. See ball, hit ball, is the only approach he knows. I don't think he has the intelligence to make the adjustment. His overarching pychological problem is that he never wanted to leave Texas. He just didn't know how to conduct himself properly, overplayed his hand, and ended up going to LA. When he left Texas, he left as if leaving a party by pulling your pants down and peeing all the way out the door. He didn't mean it, but he wasn't mature enough to handle it like an adult. By contrast, Napoli has repeatedly said he loved playing for the Rangers and had a great time here. When he returned yesterday for Boston, he got the na-po-li chant and a nice ovation during his first at-bat.
  7. I think he'll be available after this season. 5 years and $60 million will get it done.
  8. Nice reference. Now, turn them into a jack-in-the-box with their same bad face.
  9. There are opportunities for a lot of cool stuff for CJ Wilson to do in October.
  10. Ok. We'll see how it works out. You guys just don't realize fully how dumb he is yet. He's always said that he never watches tape and never has a game plan at the plate as though he's proud of it. As Rangers fans, we suspect the reason it turned for him last year was that after the 4 HR game opposing pitchers were just completely afraid to throw him a strike at all. ...they weren't nibbling the corners any more, they just outright pitched around him. To their surprise, he started flailing at everything way out of the zone and turned himself into an easy out. Since then, the league has gradually learned. I was getting mad when the Rangers faced him when a Rangers pitcher would throw him a strike. You throw him four wide ones you'll get yourself a nice K or a dribbler. You throw him a strike, he may well hit it hard. ...but there is never any reason to throw a strike. So watch how people pitch him whenever it's an important situation. I think that the only time he's getting hits right now is when someone is aiming 6 inches low and away and accidently throws it on the corner.
  11. You're wrong about this. He's never been patient, but he's only been like this since about the ASB last year. A book on him was finally created and he cannot adjust to it. This version of Hamilton is the one that every other GM in the league scouted and passed on in the off-season.
  12. The way your team is run is very similar to the way the Rangers were run when we signed Arod, Andres Galaragga, and Ken Caminiti and it's very similar to the way Jerry Jones has driven the Cowboys into the ground.
  13. I just don't know about that. That would require him to completely stop chasing pitches out of the zone and forcing pitchers to throw him strikes. I honestly don't think he's capable of doing that. He's been praying for the solution for about 8 months now and nothing. I heard they even had a bunch of computers and video cameras piled into a make-shift altar so he could put in extra prayer time in the clubhouse. ...so, I mean, he *is* working on it.
  14. No, I agree. JD even said that there was never such a statement made, there were just rumors that some verbal agreement had been made to that end...but it doesn't matter. *I* didn't care about that. I wanted him gone. Most of those who really pay attention to baseball wanted him gone. Kinda like most of you guys would like him gone too.
  15. Very few people actually wanted him back, but some were angry because he had indicated he would bring the offer to the Rangers and allow them to match it. The reason most of them were mad is because it was another lie, not because it meant he wasn't coming back. We saw him use an approach to the plate for 3 months last year exactly the same as what he's done in his Angels career so far. ...and many of us believe that he is not smart enough to ever figure out how to make an adjustment to being pitched 6 inches low and off the plate. That and he's a complete human piece of dog trash.
  16. He can't get much worse at baseball, but he's been playing at this level consistently since about the ASB last year. The only way it gets worse is when his personality starts to shine through. Maybe he'll give you halo fans a lecture and tell you that you aren't good krischens because you aren't cheering for him. ...something like that, that's how he gets worse. He may also whiff on a catch and lollygag after it, then smirk at the camera. This is why we all shed a tear and played a violin for those of you who said we were talking trash about him because we were b-hurt. Nope, we just hate the dog trash out of that idiot.
  17. You never go full retard...
  18. They gonna rub their combined two brain cells together?
  19. You're referring to the last 7 years of his contract right? Zing.
  20. Seriously. ...right after he dropped that pop-up, Ron Washington went over to him in the dugout and chewed him out. Hamilton looked at him with a sarcastic smirk on his face and said "you gonna take me out?"
  21. Guys, Hamilton was talking to Jesus (in his head) and got distracted. It happens sometimes.
  22. maybe this will cheer you guys up http://sadjoshhamilton.tumblr.com/
