  1. Damn, I really wanted Porter. Id gladly take Minasian, but we all know it’ll be Hollander.
  2. We’re now #2 in the reverse standings. Rocker or Leiter?
  3. What kind of package would you be comfortable giving up? The 2020 FA market for starters is weak, besides Bauer the only way to upgrade the pitching staff will be via trade and any impact arm will cost a haul similar to the one I listed.
  4. Goodwin, Marsh, Detmers (ptbnl) and Rengifo for Clevinger. Boom, Angels get their ace and become the instant favorites to land his bff Bauer in the offseason. I know no one wants to give up that much but the reality is, it’s gonna cost a haul like that to land a top of the rotation arm like Clevinger.
  5. I know this is his first inning of live ball since ‘18 but don’t most pitchers come back stronger after TJ? Ohtani has gone from 101 to 91. 10 MPH drop is concerning
  6. I’d have no problem taking Detmer if he was a later selection. With the 10th pick, I’d rather see them draft a high ceiling player instead of a middle of the rotation arm.
  7. According to Keith Law the hot name that’s been attached to the Angels all morning is Detmers. Ugh, I really hope they go with high ceiling arm like Abel or Kelley
  8. Keith Law of The Athletic: 10. Los Angeles Angels: Pete Crow-Armstrong, OF, Harvard-Westlake (Calif.) School No high school pitchers here, but they could go for ceiling with Ed Howard or Hassell, take an up-the-middle college bat in Garrett Mitchell, or stick with college pitching like Cade Cavalli or Detmers.
  9. My top choice is Meyer but it looks like he’s a lock for the Jays (sigh) Detmers doesn't excite me. I’d really hate wasting the #10 pick on a middle of the rotation arm, which we already have plenty of. Cavalli and Crochett seem like too much of a risk for a pick that high, but I wouldn’t be disappointed if they chose one of the two. I think they ultimately go with Hassell
  10. Taylor Ward: .290/.360/.515 you heard it here first.
  11. I hope it isn’t CRod, Kochanowicz or Soriano
  12. It’ll probably be someone like Ross Strippling
  13. CRod is the guy I’m most excited to follow this season. Remember the hype from last year? @KyleAGlaser: Rodriguez was off to a fast start in the Cal League - 9.1 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 4 BB, 13 K. I had scouts throwing 70 grades on his fastball, slider and changeup, although not all at the same time. “To be able to touch 97 (mph) and have the command of all four of his pitches, that’s elite stuff,” Inland Empire pitching coach Michael Wuertz said. “You don’t see that at this level. Most of those guys are in the big leagues.” Rodriguez, 20, came out sitting 94-95 mph and touching 97 mph with his fastball to turn heads immediately. That was just the appetizer. The 6-foot-2 righthander began snapping off a swing-and-miss 87-89 mph slider, introduced an 84-87 mph changeup that had lefthanded hitters lunging and lastly revealed a late-breaking 81-83 mph curveball that locked up batters’ knees, all in the first inning.”
  14. Holy shit. Have you gone through this Tweets? This dude is a child
