Honestly, after the last few seasons, I don't know if I'm willing to say we're in the mix. I mean every team has a chance, but I'm not looking at us as a playoff contender until I see guys bounce back and play better baseball.

Well, I agree with your first sentence. As far as the second sentence, well, I wanted Tanaka as much as anyone, but to say it is a fact that he takes our rotation to a different level, that is just a complete unknown.

I would say there is a larger chance of Tanaka being successful this season than Albert Pujols returning to form.

I agree with everything you guys said. 

I'm just saying the Yankees have proven that if you have the money to consistently fill out gaps in your roster every offseason with talent, then you're going to win more than you lose. 

Tanaka would have taken our rotation to the level we needed this season. I'm not going to deny this fact.
