  1. I don't know about placing a specific numeric value to his decisions, simply because of dissenting opinions, but simply creating a game-by-game thread to post our thoughts on them isn't bad.

    For instance...

I thought that Sosh's choice to make Howie bunt in the 7th was just as bad as Dusty's later in the game.

We have a .280 hitter at the plate & proceed to take the bat out of his hands. Because everyone would rather have Callaspo up in a pivotal situation.

  2. I was concerned about Walden going into last season because of his Spring Training performance (or lack thereof) and got blasted by a lot of you defending him saying "maybe he is working on a pitch" and other typical spring training cliches. Well, turned out he lost his closers role about a week into the season.

I have the same feeling about Wilson. Let's hope I am hitting .500

As long as he throws strikes, CJ will be fine. None of us can predict that...

  3. Trumbo hits the ball hard. As long as he does this, balls will get through the infield for hits. He also showed he can hit the ball to all fields, lining the ball through the right side. If he does that & cuts down his strikeouts, swinging at good pitches, he'll be tremendous. We saw flashes of it last year. He could hit .300 easy. Or he could keep swinging at bad pitches and hit .260 again. We'll see.

  4. pitcher injuries have been just as prevalent in the pitch count era. it has more to do with conditioning and delivery than it does throwing an extra 10 innings a year. also, i'd love to hear how out of whack rangers injuries have been.

10 innings? More like 100-150. That's a huge difference. That being said, nothing much has really changed. There are people today that could handle that workload and ones who cannot. It's just depends on the individual. Teams just dont take that risk on everybody anymore. I mean, don't you think someone like Roy Halladay could handle larger workloads?
