  1. I'm currently reading this book. I like it so far, but as an avid reader of many other Angels and MLB books, there hasn't been a whole lot of new information I've picked up so far. The best book on the Angels, in my opinion, is Anaheim Angels: A Complete History by Ross Newman. Very, very informative down to the small details.
  2. I think this may be the worst call I have ever seen. The catcher's glove was literally touching the dirt when he caught it.
  3. Albert and his contract could become a burden well before he hits that point. A .260/10-hr type player is still able to compete at a major league level.
  4. I agree. This is one of those situations where a player could really benefit from positive fan support.
  5. I take back my previous post. The Angels have been in fact over .500 at one point in their history. They won the first game of their 1961 inaugural season to give themselves an all-time franchise record of 1-0. After that win however, they proceeded to go on an 8 game losing streak and have never had a winning or .500 record as a franchise since then. This season of course, that's about to change (or it should, at least).
  6. Sometime in June. It will be the first time the franchise has been at .500 since 1-1 on the second game of the season back in 1961. This should also be the first year the franchise has gone over .500 as well.
